Avoid the HP one. For some reason its got a really slow processor (the AMD V140) even though it runs at 2.3GHz.
The following Lenovo has a big disk and lot of memory -> (£300) https://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Lenovo_B550_1029392.html
I don't know about brand reliability (Lenova was IBM?) but remember at this price battery life will be low.If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -

Thanks for the advice, what sort of battery life would I be looking at for this price, and how much more roughly to get longer?0 -

For 500GB disk and 4GB RAM might as well go for https://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Lenovo_B550_1029392.html
EDIT: or see the 2 Toshibas above. One of them is £300 and has a better battery and possible free 2nd year warranty. If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -
