the two most important things to look for is the processor and the memory, the hard drive and battery life are just bonuses
As a comparision to the Comet laptop for £350 here's one for £70 less, similar (or better) spec. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190509775512If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -

Do you mean it's not good and that's why you don't recommend it, or that you don't want to give recommendations as a general rule?
If it's the former, what do you recommend?0 -
Hi Indigomoon , you wanted the same laptop for a similar price and that's what I found. I didn't recommended it because its got an average spec. That's all.If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

All truth goes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Then, it is violently opposed. Finally, it is accepted as self-evident.0 -

Fair play - just thought I'd show it.
I'm considering getting a new laptop - as my Sony Vaio VGN-FZ19VN just seems to be very slow, despite me regularly doing disk clean ups and defragging.
Have seen a Macbook in action - but they seem so expensive, but I guess that's what you get with Apple.
I know my parents are looking to get a new laptop after one of their's ended up being unrepairable - so not sure whether there are companies out there to do deals on selling two laptops!2021
