Some would say this one is dull, Lenovo Ideapad 4gb dual core Windows 7 UK keyboard DVD 15.4 screen but it is really nice and I think it will be a workhorse!!
On ebay for £339 free delivery. I would say it is a good choice for a student or home worker. It comes with a funny cut down version of Word and Excel.
My next task to try and install Office 2003. I have managed to put it on but every time I open a document it asks me to sign something!! I know there are problems using Office 2003 with Windows 7 but I do dislike the later versions of Office.0 -

As for netbook deals, the similarly spec'd MSI Wind U135 from Argos at £179 looks like a very good deal. The Argos spec on the website is wrong since the U135 has faster b/g/N wifi rather than just b/g wifi, according to reviews I've just googled like this PCAdvisor U135 review and this Pocket-Lint U135 review (there are other good reviews if you google them too).
Now enjoying its first trip away and proving very useful.0 -
Hi there,
Im looking to buy a laptop for my son as ive had to return the 1 i bought from argos clearance at xmas so many times ive asked for a refund, my budget is between £350 and £400 but no higher, he downloads a lot of music and plays basic online games, uses facebook and uses it for homework and stuff, he does want 1 with a webcam in and a memory card reader but other than that i dont think hes too fussed, the 1 i returned had 320gig hard drive and 4 gigs of ram so something of similar specs would be ideal.
If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.
thanks in advance

What do you huys think about buying second-hand, like ebay, or reconditioned, like dell? I've been told it's a savvy way of getting something decent at a reasonable price but am worried about getting stuck with someone elses problems...To live within ones means shows a lack of imagination - Oscar Wilde0
