  • Hi Guys

I have been so MIA I can't begin to explain. See we have loads of new folk here.

Latest in the GB house is that we are so busy, just doing stuff really. DGS1 well established at school (started in August); DGS2 well established at nursery (also August); and DGS3, well, a holy terror! We had them last weekend but thoroughly enjoyed their visit despite the awful weather.

Been doing a huge declutter of our filing system - can you believe I have been shredding 10 year old Scottish Gas/Scottish Power bills? Also trying to get the garden into shape as nearly all the summer bedding decimated by the weather. I have started to buy pansy packs in B&Q to fill in the blank spaces for over the winter and spring.

Would like to send love and hugs to all my dear friends and hope to make more regular contact soon!

    Love and hugs to all.

  • Hi MeanM

Sorry to hear about DH and the thought of possible flooding. I had pleurisy once and it was like someone was stabbing me in the back! Hope the flooding not as bad as when we were over in August.

Troo - sorry to hear about your job. Hope something turns up soon.

    PenPin, Smokey - special thoughts.

Sorry I haven't mentioned more of you but take care.

PS - Aussie, managed to read your post about the supermarket. It is so scary isn't it? Our DGS's had home cooked Spag Bol (well, it was Granny's Spag Slugs) and I have never seen food disappear so fast! Hope you had a good day with your DGS and enjoyed your nod!

Have been getting loads of dried and canned foods for dd to take to university as well as toiletries etc. I have a feeling there will be strikes and power cuts this winter so want to make sure she is stocked up.

No sign of eager buyers for our house (lol) so looks as here we will be here for a while!

Made chicken curry for tea and everyone really enjoyed it.

Got an accidental compliment yesterday when DD(14) said she wanted tea that Mum had cooked properly! I had been doing other things and just made her a quick french toast before going out shopping with DH!

Early start in the morning so "Good Night " and see you tomorow.
    "This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA
    Preemie hats - 2.
  • The in laws visit on Saturday and I have a feeling M in L (she who pries) will be left in the house on her own on Sat afternoon. I am not pleased about this at all but DH wants to take his dad to watch DSS play football and I'm going to the hairdressers to get my highlights retouched (or whatever they do). I made the appointment ages ago and work fulltime so need a Saturday. I might empty my personal papers drawer and hide it in a plastic bag somewhere. Isn't it awful to think of doing this? I am going to write a note for her and place it in my underwear drawer so, should she look in there AGAIN, she will get a surprise. It will be very polite though, so don't worry.

Put a 'toy' into your drawer, she will be so shocked she will never pry again! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
