  • Morning all

Good luck Jess, you can expect lots of fun and cuddles - enjoy every minute :A

DS 30th birthday tomorrow, where did that go  so taking his cards and pressies around today - he will be at work so will get a surprise tomorrow. Will snatch a few kisses and cuddles from DGD while I'm there :D

Taking the cat to to the vets first, she is 16, but still puts up a good fight, so I just stand back and let the vets assistant sort her out, I know I'm a coward, but they know exactly how to handle her

Chilli for dinner with rice and garlic bread

Have a great day everyone x
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • Good Morning Chums,
and good luck to you Jess let us know weight and sex ect, and if poss a wee photo.
Weather looks awful aready here .I am taking my son-in-law to Maidstone this morning whilst my DD does the school run.He has a meeting to go to, and his car is off the road.
She will pick him up this afternoon though.
I have my lovely craft class this afternoon and am looking forward to that.We have such a good time there. We started it after the local authority cancelled the funding at our adult -ed centre.it started with around 8 of us in a spare room in our local church hall, and now we are at a healthy 12-15.Can't take anymore members as we are full. But the youngest lady is around 35 and our oldest one is 82.
We all enjoy crafting, and one lady has been doing it for several years, so she helps show the rest of us. We all have a good chinwag at the same time, and arrange social outings and theatre trips as well.
Next Monday we are doing our all-day christmas craft day and hopefully we shall get the bulk of our Christmas cards done.
I make extra for our local McMillan fund to sell,as I obviously have an interest in that particular charity.
Chistmas seems to creep up on you almost as soon as the children are back at school. MrT's are already selling stuff. I ahve started to look around to see whats about for small 'tree gifts'. I love Chritsmas, especially with my tribe of grandchildren. I am hoping to have a trip up to Manchester in November to see the Trafford centre. I am going at the end of this month ,but won't be around for shopping, its just a family reunion trip.
My boiler man eventually turned up at 6.30.p.m. last night, not bad I suppose, at least he did turn up but not between 1-5 as promised.Good job I didn't have to go anywhere.
Tomorrow I have a computer chap supposed to be coming at 10.00.a.m.to sort out my Outlook Express which isn't working properly, fingers crossed.
<<hugs to those in need>> and big ;) to the rest of you
    Have a good day everyone
    JackieO xx
  • Morning all
Good luck Jess, have fun, please come back & join us when you are home again.
    Welcome Sarah.
Not only do I check out other peoples shopping trolleys, but if I go shopping for people at work & end up with a trolley full of carp I feel guilty & keep trying to explain to people in the queue that it's not all my shopping.
SC is on with beef casserole in it, I made a weetabix apple cake last night, it's huge as I made it in my Remoska & I have the Grande. I also made 12 portions of apple crumble for the freezer, I'll make more tonight but I need to get more foil dishes as I'm giving it all away to my kids & BIL, who is hoping to move out on Friday!!!
I hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

  • Good morning all

I changed the bedding on my bed yesterday and I also flipped the mattress so I had a better night's sleep last night but I'm still awake earlier than I would like to be as I'm not w*rking today. Oh well, I can always go back to bed in a little while I suppose.

Had a busy night last night and managed to tick off some of the jobs I wanted to get done today so I'm already ahead of myself. :T My very grubby kitchen floor is the *must-do* job today. :o It's so hard trying to keep it clean when we have hardly had a dry day and I have to go out to the bin, recyclying tubs, etc then back through the kitchen on a regular basis.

I made a sausage casserole in the Remoska last night and it was delicious. So I need to figure out what I'm going to cook in it today. I have some chicken drumsticks defrosted so I may try them with some cous cous and veggies.

Jess how exciting for you and a day you will never forget! Hope everything goes well for you.
Aussie I suspect its the one called "Miss" something that hasn't laid - sounds a bit of a madam. :p:D As for the processed foods - it's something that I have noticed too. My local Morrisons have been offering ready meals for £1 - things like cottage pie, macaroni cheese, curry, etc. I saw one woman with a trolley full of almost nothing but these ready meals. Couldn't help but think to myself that it would be cheaper - and far healthier - for her to bulk cook them herself from scratch.
celyn glad to hear you can apply for the job - now get to it, girl! :D
Mioliere I never realised that boiling a kettle could be so expensive! Thankfully I don't drink a lot of tea (and no coffee at all) so I think I can get away with just filling the kettle with what I need. I think my mum would save a fortune though as she is a tea-junkie. :D
morwenna hope w*rk is better than you anticipate. :D
(((hugs))) to all who need one and :j to those with something to celebrate.

Well, I'm off to have some tea (probably my only one of the day - she says trying prove she isn't a tea-junkie like her mother). Have a tremendous Tuesday. xx

    Morning all,

Looks nice here today, I think the sun is going to be out, Kathy is it really raining where you are ? we normally share the same weather.

Got all my washing done and dried yesterday, I hung it over the airer overnight, so will put that away today.

Just seen the news there is another pier on fire in Fleetwood, how sad, another one gone.

Chicken pie for dinner, with new pots, cabbage, brocoli, and cauli. I also need to finish my jam off today, hope it works :o . Back to work tomorrow after three weeks off  , there will be piles of work for me to do, ah well keeps me out of trouble.

Ohhhh good luck to Jess, don't forget to come back and let us know how you got on, with any luck you might be home tonight. xx

Aussie, I like to share :D , I bet its Bookie not pulling her weight :D

Kathy, just seen that story on the news this morning, what a lovely little girl, how lucky the dad was so quick thinking.

Celyn, that job looks promising xx

    Morweena, CHICKEN ;)

Charliesmum, good luck at the vet, I am taking little dog tonight for her booster, she is only tiny (a border terrier) but my goodness does she put up a fight, the vet always wants to muzzle her, which is a mistake as she then panics, and fights to get the muzzle off, it takes OH to hold her head still and me holding the back end still, all this whilst sitting on the floor in the vets and she is a bit calmer on the floor

    Anyhoo have good days all

Poppy are you down from cloud nine yet :D
  • Morning all,

Kaat you were an early bird today! Sorry I haven't managed to catch up with you on facebook for whatever the replacement for Scrabulous is - I must go & have a look!!
Good luck Jess (and congratulations in advance :) ) - hope all goes well for you!
Aussie, you'll have to have stern woods with your chooks... They'll need to shape up or ship out!!! lol...
Celyn, enjoy your sleep - and that's very positive news about the job application.
Mioliere, sorry, it's sunny here again - 2 whole days running!!!! I only half-saw the news so didn't quite get the full story about what happened to that little girl, but she's got some nasty grazes on her head. I did hear the bit about the family pet still being missing from the same incident.
CharliesMum, hope your cat gets on ok at the vets, definitely stand back & let them handle him/her!
JackieO, your craft group sounds lovely - I am resolving to try & find a simple but very effective looking Xmas card design & make a batch one day in the next 3-4 weeks before I am back to Uni. After which point I will not have a life. I've also been getting lots of little "sock" odds & ends, plus got a few other presents bought. Must make a list so I know what I've got/done....

Anyway, was meeting a friend for coffee this morning, but she has asked to cancel having split with her OH :( so may go to B&Q to get wood preservative & get my cabin painted while the sun is still shining. I've got one of those spray things I got reduced last year, so just need to figure out how to work it....

Lunch with some colleagues from the office (good to keep in touch when working from home I think...)

(((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) for all those needing them, have a good day all.

  • Good Morning All

Jess - how exciting - good luck

    Good Luck also to Celyn.

No rain here again in Essex this morning will double check forcast & if its OK put some washing on.

Other than that will probably be in the office most of the day though do need to pop to the Library later.

Might make a weetabix cake later if DS hasnt eaten them all yet - havnt tried it before.

Since the kids have gone back to school this time I am definately more organised - am doing more but seem to have more time - strange how that happens.

Anyway off to finish coffee and make packed lunches.

    Have a great day.
