Hi all - just a flying visit because I went out with DH on a quote so that he could drop me off at Waterstone's to choose books with some tokens I had for my birthday. I had £35 worth in all! I spent £15 on a crochet book but couldn't see anything else I fancied. I'll have another look next week when I go into town.

Troo - so sorry to hear about your redundancy - I wish you luck with the job hunt but even more luck with your cardmaking; it would be great if that could earn you enough money so that you don't have to look for a job!

I hope Jess has had her baby now!

    Gool luck to Meanmarie.

(((Hugs))) to everyone today especially all the poorly ones.

I know some of you have had sunshine but here, darn sarf, it hasn't stopped raining all day. It's so miserable and grey - I've got the lamps on already.

Anyway, I've only skimmed the thread so I'll try and catch up later. I'd better go - the BM has just beeped!

    See you later.

For all Wooligans - I have, at last, posted a photo of my 'pimped' boob on to the Wooligans but I have just thought about something else to add to it so I may have to post another photo tomorrow!

It's been lovely here all day, just started raining an hour ago. Have a lovely batch of pea and ham soup in the SC. Will bung it in the food processor in a bit, tastes lush. Have dug up some carrots at the allotment and spring onions, both yummy.

TROO sorry to hear about your job. Hope something turns up soon.

Off to make cheese and onion pasties, am cheating with ready roll puff pastry, never could make my own :D .

    Have a good evening all.

OH TROO, If only you could have the cottage and just collect eggs and make daisychains instead of tractor work etc. or the threat of the curtain shop. Seriously..... I do hope you find something soon.

DD2 phoned this am, she is so tired (3mnths Preg) and working a 11hr day 7am till 6pm, so dived into freezer, grabbed Toulouse Sos that we bought when in France at about a third of the price here, boiled pots n veg, made onion gravy packed it all up along with apple crumble made y/day and HM custard and got DH to pop in her fridge. Save her cooking.

She was up at 4.30am today as she had to finalise holiday bookings, she and SiL 2b are going to Maldives on Sunday and because of the time difference it's the only time emails can be exchanged.

I always do their dinner and packed lunch on Wed & Thurs, drop them off before I walk their dogs on those days but think I must do it more often.

Wasn't able to post since Thurs because we had DF staying until Mon. DD1 phoned late on Fri to say DGD15yrs had been mugged. She was with 2 friends walking to Bath theatre (DNiece works there and she gets cheap tickets)
3  male scums of this earth, aged 12,14 and 16yrs, roughed them up and stole 2 ipods from them. DGD and friends go to an all girls school so don't know any lads from school but fortunately 1 of her friends recognised a voice. They were wearing hoodies and a bandana type thing across their face.
Scum 3 was the paper delivery boy.

We went up to see DD1 and DGD on Fri night, Police were very helpfull and on the case, they have been around 3 times and have interviewed scum 3. DGD got onto Beebo (sp) and saw the other 2 on scum 1's list, wearing the same clothes.
DH and I went to see DD1&DGD again on Sat. DGD very tearfull. Meanwhile we had the DF staying and a stag/hen party to go to on Sat eve.
Sunday DF, who was staying with us, had his sis come to us for the day. She is over from DAussie's land.
So dear friends!! all in all that's why I haven't been here for a while.

P.S. DGD didn't go to school y/day, I know most kids don't want to but she loves her school time, I think she is scared.

Sorry if I've waffled :o . Hugs to each and every one of my DF's here.

    Good evening people :hello:
(((hugs))) to those feeling under the weather or have people in their families having difficult times.
Feeling a bit tired tonight as I've been working hard trying to get to grips with the new student links on the Intranet doodah. It won't let me upload my files rolleyes.gif. I LOVE paper and pens. When did this techie age appear????

Tea has been eaten along with a cup of caffeine free tea (ok actually).

Think I might have a peak into flylady thread so actually achieve something. The in laws visit on Saturday and I have a feeling M in L (she who pries) will be left in the house on her own on Sat afternoon. I am not pleased about this at all but DH wants to take his dad to watch DSS play football and I'm going to the hairdressers to get my highlights retouched (or whatever they do). I made the appointment ages ago and work fulltime so need a Saturday. I might empty my personal papers drawer and hide it in a plastic bag somewhere. Isn't it awful to think of doing this? I am going to write a note for her and place it in my underwear drawer so, should she look in there AGAIN, she will get a surprise. It will be very polite though, so don't worry.

Ok, off to wash tea dishes and have a quick wipe round the surfaces.

    Enjoy your evening all

ed to add - ((((Betheebee)))) - just caught up with your post. How awful frown.gif Thinking of you all, W

    evening all,

Just back from the vets, little dog was very good, the vet was lovely and took the time to get to know Basil, she gave her some treats, and injected her without her knowing, better than the last time where they jabbed someting in her sore ear, she has been frightened of going ever since.

Troo, sorry to hear about youe job, hopefully something will come up soon xx

Beth hugs to your DGD, what a terrible thing to happen, bless her xx

I am loving the pimped boobs :D

WMF you should put 'hello mil name' of a piece of paper in the drawer, if she does look you should be able to tell, she probably won't meet your eye :rotfl: :rotfl:

Meanmarie, hope you got on ok at the hosp xx
