Not what their recently updated Web page says. It was saying 'most by end of October' (after they'd delayed it from 'during Sept'). It now just says 'most'.

Not sure if that's an improvement or not. But 'end of May' ..... it certainly isn't.

I had £500 and £350 go as FP to A&L and RBS this morning so it's definitely improving.

Just sent 100 for HBOS to my friends Lloyds and it was through in minutes. Amazing.

That's annoying (for me) because once I'd sent a £500 payment yesterday I found I'd used up my allowance for the day and so couldn't send anymore FP's.

Someone remind me...isn't this month the first anniversary of the original planned FP launch date? :rolleyes:

some people are never happy... considering some banks are on the verge of stopping faster payments due to fraud you should be happy HBOS are letting you send anything.

On the contrary; I'm extremely disappointed, given they've had around 5-6 years of planning for this, that "some" banks' systems still aren't robust enough to prevent Faster Payment fraud...or at least minimise it.

I just transferred £75 from hbos to barclays, and it showed up in a few minutes.

For years banks have taken advantage with the processing time required, imo. With the advent of new technology, I just can't believe this wasn't possible long before now. I dont think it was in their best interest to roll this out any sooner though.

As far as I'm concerned, it's long overdue.

Having said that, I still do get the warm fuzzies when I see something showing up in an an account a very short while after I've sent it.

Is it me, or are the FPs from HBOS "selective"?

I've sent a few to various banks (A&L, Tesco, Barclays) with no problems...
then yesterday I tried to send one to A&L again and I got the old "unfortunately..blah blah" message.

Thought perhaps it was because it was for an odd amount, but even a flat tenner wouldn't work.

I thought this FP lark was meant to be 24/7, but it seems in my case it's whenever HBOS feel like it (and more often than not, they don't!) :rolleyes:

Anybody know what the actual criteria are for HBOS FPs to work (eg must be done before 11am or something)?
