I have the draft property details for mine - it looks good enough to buy :j
It'll be on Rightmove next week.de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -
Right, worst of waiting now over - the agents sales particulars came through this afternoon. It looks as if the buyers were satisfied with the full structural survey they had done- price is still £158,500. So it's all looking set to go now.
Next step will be having to fill in all the forms this weekend - Fixtures, Fittings etc (difficult to decide on some items as I'm going into rented but haven't chosen a property yet - any advice from anyone who has been through this would be appreciated......do I declutter in a big way or choose something with a garage so I can store stuff)
Buyers are paying cash (no waiting for mortgage offer) and want to be in before Christmas - so it looks as if it's going to be a hectic few weeks.
Good luck with all the viewings this weekend everyone - my acceptable offer came out of the blue two weeks ago. House has been on market since April.0 -
Good news Lotto, keeping fingers crossed for you.
I would get a place with a garage, if you can, to store stuff if its stuff you want to keep, storage is really expensive, but freecyle/sell/charity shop all the clutter you dont really want or need. Its a good time to get rid of stuff.Pawpurrs x0 -

good luck to everyone. i have just had my 2nd viewing in 4 onths of being onthe market. i am so depressed, i think i really ballsed it up. i normally have the windows open because i love fresh air, although it makes it a bit cold but i wanted to make sure i closed the windows when the viewers came because of the road noise, which is considerable. i forgot so i was showing them round with the window open. i think i ruined my chances0

Oh no Jenner, did they comment on the noise?
Road noise is allways worse in the wet and its pouring here, well I notice it more.Pawpurrs x0 -
Lotto, I was in the same position as you, we sold and moved into rented. I used it as an opportunity to declutter big time and it's really great to have done it. We were lucky to find somewher with great storage (2 large sheds, a greenhouse and a large porch) and haven't had to pay for storage at all. We've got our own freezer and washing machine in the porch - doesn't look great but it saves money.
It might be worth finding out how much storage would cost. It shocked me how much it would be and it allowed us to work out whether it would be cheaper to go for a larger house or a smaller one and pay for storage. We thought we'd only be in this house for max. 6 months as we were buying a house but that fell through and we could be here for another year for all we know as there is so little out there to buy and we are saving £100+ per month on storage.
I always keep an eye on this thread as my heart goes out to all of you trying to sell. It brings back all the frustration we went through as it took us 15 months from the date we put it on the market to the day we moved out (and 50+ viewings!!!!!). I wish you all luck and look forward to seeing some good news here.0 -
hi
came on for a moan. Our buyers have been very slow lots of dragging heels (no chain but now 10 weeks since offer accepted) all ready to go but now surprise surprise are £30k short of deposit and stamp duty money. URGHHHHH are getting back to us monday - I wonder what they will say??? can we have another £30k off I believe??? I hate the whole house selling process and it is 100 times more stressful now. I am so pee'd off about this as I know i wouldn't do this to someone unless the survey showed a problem. Any advice re our response on Monday would be most appreciated.0
