And so another weekend rolls ahead. Still only the one viewing booked in for the weekend, the couple who are not even on the market yet, and cant do any day except sunday as they are so busy which means I have to do it instead of the EA.
Hoping some more may get booked in today, but its gone a bit quiet this week.
Hope a lot of you have viewings booked in for the weekend and another of us goes Under Offer.
Wonder if the interest rate drop will start people looking again temporaily (if it does I believe it not to last)
    Pawpurrs x ;)

    Good luck everybody.

Not heard anything from the EA this week, have decided i'm going to hassle them every Friday to see what's happening. Seen a few houses on local EA site go marked as sold this week, so fingers crossed for all.

Thought I'd come and join you...getting fed up!

I live in a nice little town in East Sussex. Selling house due to relationship split. Went on market in June and we've had only 6 viewings in that time! Not a sniff of an offer.

Orig price was £290k, which I knew was ridiculous...been chipping away and this week it's reduced to £245. Competitive with other similar properties in the town.

Ex has been talking about buying me out, but is being a flipflopper. Meanwhile am trying to be grateful for amicable relations with him, having a roof over my head that isn't too expensive...but I just want to get on with my life!

Good luck for viewings this weekend, everyone :)
  • Still no joy with our place, didnt have a single viewer last week, but have just had a call from EA to book a viewing for tomorrow lunch time - and they have already sold!!

Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee let this be our buyer!!

Good luck to everyone else who has viewings booked for the weekend.

    ;)
Starting to do the odd comp ;)

Nov wins :D = 2 x tickets to celebrity footie match, peroni ice bucket
  • Can i join you please? Our house goes on the market today! so the fun and games begin here have never sold before so no idea what have let ourselves in for!. My only concern is we have put it on market at good price to attract viewings so i'm hoping this was a good move and we dont end up regreting it if get stupidly lower offers (if we get any offers/viewings atall that is, lol)

pawpurrs, I'm in the town that likes burning stuff ;).

And whaddya know, I have a viewing on Sunday. Which I have to do - not too thrilled, as have left it all to EA so far. Hope he's not some nutter. Apparently has sold his place, too - but oh you can hear the optimism dripping off my keystrokes, right?!
  • Good luck to all of you with viewings hope some good news to come from them!. Ours is fresh on market today so doubt will have anything for a bit. Just regarding few posts about viewings is it better to get the EA to do it what are your opinions?. First time seller here can you tell?:rotfl:

You'll get different points of view, but I'd definitely do the viewings yourself. We've bought and sold a lot of houses over the last few years because my wife's done some property developing and we can't believe how poor the EA's are!

One appeared to be some retired guy who just let us in and waited in the living room, hardly saying a thing. We thought that was poor until another one was the EA joint owner himself who just let us in and waited outside!

One house we tried to sell - we had multiple viewings and felt we should have sold it but didn't even have one offer. Then we did a viewing ourselves and, hey presto!, were made an offer on the spot.

If you want to sell, make your house look like a show-house and do the viewings yourself. ;)

Thanks for your opinion, good to hear your experiences. I think we'll do them just was unsure if an EA gives a hard sell so would be better left in their hands.
