Sounds like there is interest then Mishmash, and some that could come together, so thats not bad, fingers crossed. Tidying up for my timewasters today. Well I say timewasters only because they are not even on the market, going up for a pub lunch and will then come back and light a fire in the inglenook to make it look nice and cosy.
Ooh now that sounds lovely, I am off to Ma and Pa's, they are very good and have us round for Sunday Lunch most weeks, then meeting up with a girlfriend this evening.
Thanks for making me see things a bit more positive.

And tomorrow is another day and in could come one of our perfect buyers!Pawpurrs x0

It's so nice to find some more people who are trying to sell - everyone pulls a face when I say we're selling and makes dark pronouncements about the state of the housing market.
What makes it worse for me is that we don't want to sell - We've lived here for 13 years, have replaced the kitchen and both bathrooms, lovely oak floor and everything's the way we like it. The house is detached, is plenty big enough for us, garden, garage, nice area...unfortunately my neighbours on one side are clearly insane and after over a year of bullying I've had enough and we have to go. I'm so depressed decluttering, cleaning, painting, improving just so someone else can enjoy living in my house.
And if that wasn't enough, we'll prob move to the next town, where I work & most of DD's friends live, which is more expensive than here so I'll have to put in extra money to get something not even as nice as here.
House went on the market on Fri, had a call that afternoon and a young couple came round yesterday who absolutely loved the place so i should be over the moon (although not counting my chickens) but it just makes me feel worse. The EA said the house values low because there's a council estate behind and a shop nearby - I can't moan about that as that's why I got it cheap 13 years ago - but if you moved the house a few streets away it would be worth 40,000 more. I think this will make the house quite attractive to FTB as it's on at offers over 130,000 and there's nothing else on rightmove locally that's anything like as good at this price.
Sorry for the moan - just feeling miserable this afternoon :embarasse0 -

You're not alone. I've spent today agonising over my sale - I was thrilled to have found a buyer - cash - wants to move quickly and survey done with no problems - but I also have my house the way I like it (been here 9 years) and having spent yesterday trying to find suitable rental properties - on computer, phoning agents - I know nothing is going be as good as where I am. But my finances are my problem.. I feel very miserable as well and I shouldn't really I suppose because I have sold after 7 months....but I know just how you feel. But, at least you are looking to buy again - I doubt I'll ever be able to.0 -

That's OK - you can moan as much as you like on here. The horrible weather today isn't helping any of us, especially those who particularly notice the loss of daylight.....or those who have viewings this pm!
Neighbours from hell are a big problem. You will have people telling you not to give in to them and so forth, but it's easy to say that when your own neighbours are lovely. My BIL has a right pair next to him, and he finds the best tactic is probably to ignore wherever possible. The police really are supportive, so one visit from their specialist officer curbed the overt abuse, but subtler forms of threat have followed, though these have died out, possibly due to lack of reaction. A lot depends on your neighbourhood, other neighbours' support & so on, so I won't bang on in ignorance of the facts.
However, if you've made up your mind to leave & you market your house at a good price, many of us here can confirm that you'll get interest. There are regional variations, of course, but the main problem is usually translating that interest into a viable chain of buyers; there's just so much that can go pear-shaped at the moment. Think of it as a much longer term thing than usual, don't be too upset by the almost inevitable problems that arise and keep in mind that if you need to revise your price after a while, so will everyone else.
No, it's not a good time to sell, but once you do, you'll be a potential buyer, with the cards stacked very heavily in your favour. This could be especially true if you were to rent for a period of 6-12 months.0 -
My viewers should be here soon! Fed up here too, what a miserable day!Pawpurrs x0

Why are they viewing so late? Are they Troglodytes? True, if you really like a property on a dull day, you'll love it in the sunshine, but viewing in the dark is a no-no, surely? Still, I've learned, it takes all sorts.....!0 -
Actually thats my fault! They wanted to come Sunday Lunch time! And seeming as they are not even on the market and refuse to come any other day, thought I would do it at a time to suit me!Pawpurrs x0

They seemed to like it but you can never tell, they made all the right noises, and I could see them here, but who knows
Wont be going anywhere fast as they are not on the market yet.
Took their time looking round, and seemed to like it.
Think that was viewer 17/18. No others booked in at the moment. Going to see a house myself tomorrow that needs a lot of work. :rolleyes:Pawpurrs x0
