They seemed to like it but you can never tell, they made all the right noises, and I could see them here, but who knows
Wont be going anywhere fast as they are not on the market yet.
Took their time looking round, and seemed to like it.
Think that was viewer 17/18. No others booked in at the moment. Going to see a house myself tomorrow that needs a lot of work.
Well, that does sound positive and if you aren't in a hurry to sell and they have fallen in love with your property - then who knows. Love the sound of the inglenook! Crossing fingers for you that you hear from the agents tomorrow with an offer!0 -
Not much point in an offer untill they are sold though. I wouldnt be able to agree to anything untill they were in a postion to buy, had any more thoughts about what you are going to do Lotto?Pawpurrs x0

I agree with that, up to a point, but we had four sets of potential buyers in that position and one did sell. Unfotunately, the ones that offered the most (and like you we wouldn't agree anything theoretical) are still on the market!
Also, when we did come close to agreeing the sale, we put out a message to all and, guess what, one of the couples didn't even have the decency to return our call.0 -
Hi
Well nothing from me over the weekend. Spoke to the EA & he said that an investor had put an offer in on it not even been to view it but it's 40k under the asking price & does not even cover the outstanding mortgage, so told him to forget it. I'm not that desperate yet.
FeefeeLife's what you make it.:j0 -
Even more depressed today my gazunderer wants £75k off the price he original offered and we accepted in september (has dawdled along delaying exchange every week with another excuse). EA giving sob story for buyer about how his shares weren't worth as mush as he thought etc etc and how he might just be able to scrape up the deposit and stamp duty if we drop price by this much - he can still afford not to sell his house and buy ours though and i bet his new car is still on order. Urgggg - only prob is we want to sell, husband is self employed and doesnt want to struggle in the recession if his work falls off too much - not much point having a big house when you can only afford to eat beans on toast. Our only dept is our mortgage but it is larger than we wanted to have as never intended staying put once we had finished doing it up. I really just want to tell this guy to stick his offer where the sun doesn't shine and crawl back under the rock he came from.0

hi bootalishus, £75k is an awful lot off and he is just chancing it. personally I would tell him to stuff it but if you are struggling with the debt and your oh is worried about work coming in then maybe you should consider it. will you have enough of a cushion to buy your next place? could you consider getting a lodger in as you have a big place just to bring in some extra income?0

75 grand is a huge amount to knock of what is your house up for ?.Before you point fingers, make sure your hands are clean !;)0

Thats one hell of a price reduction and I would also be tempted to tell they guy what he could do with his offer. On a positive note, how good would you feel living elsewhere with a smaller mortgage and having more than beans on toast? Chances are, in 12 months time you may well think taking the offer was one of the best things you ever did.0
