Have to say I thought the same Dave! Had to read it twice then I realised what you meant!
Are you still taking viewings Dave? Or is it off the market?

House is SSTC on Rightmove, so no viewings. I heard today that No 2 in the chain were getting wobbly a little while ago and that my buyers had therefore asked their solicitor to 'slow down,' presumably to avoid the cost of a survey if it were all to go pear-shaped. However, now things are apparently back on track.

So, no jumping off the Severn bridge... yet! At the moment, we do have a back-up buyer with a bit less money, but people soom move on mentally when something seems unattainable, so I'd not rely on that. There's also another couple who wanted to pay £15k more than I've accepted, but I've heard nothing about them, so they're probably not sold.

Anyway, enough of me....I'm just so impressed at Lisa, giving birth and getting back to selling as soon as she could! She hasn't said if it's a girl or boy, not that it matters at this stage.....though it will later!

Moneysaving, I have a daughter doing her driving test at the moment and she's totally stressed out. She's a competent driver and not really bothered about the practical test or the questions, but the hazard perception thing on the computer gives her nightmares.

My fingers are crossed for you, Sammie, for all of you who have viewings this weekend, and even for those who don't. No, aurora b, you are not mad wanting to sell now, but you do need to be brave. As you can see from the stories on this thread it, isn't at all easy or swift, but we are driven by necessity, or the belief that things won't be improving next year. Right or wrong about that, anyone who does sell at the moment is in an excellent buying position.
  • dave tell your daughter good luck and not to worry too much about hazard perception i practiced so much on my comp with cdroms that i nearly wore the mouse out:rotfl: but when it came to the actual test it wasnt half as hard as my practice cd's were. i passed in march 1st time but im still a really nervous driver i think the key was my instructor waited till he knew i was ready before telling me to book test the people who take tests too soon are usually the ones to fail the extra few lessons are definately worth the money. :D
anyway back to selling houses lol

  • Hi all

Just heard back from the EA and our promising viewer yesterday is a no go :(:(:(:cry::cry::cry:

I am totally gutted, they told the EA that they loved the property and its perfect for them but they have had a long discussion last night and are going to rent for a year to see what house prices do then and then buy at a later date!!

I cant believe it - well i can actually, the thing is we have had such great feedback but everyone just seems too scared to actually comit to buy.

Have another lady viewing at 5.30pm today so fingers crossed this will be the one.

Hope everyone elses viewings this weekend bring some good news!

    Sammie x

Dave is your daughter doing the theory test at the moment? if so, she can practice on the government website, if she pays for 1 month or something you can do the test as many times as you like and i THINK it includes the hazard perception, so she can practice

Thats a disappointment justp, it seems a lot of people are like that at the moment, that was why my buyer pulled out, started getting nervous about buying, so even when you think you have cracked it you havent

My viewers have been, and gone, now waiting to see if any of them liked it.

It kills waiting for the phone to ring!:p

Good Luck for your first viewing Jenner. Hopefully this weekend will bring a buyer for one of us.:T

Well the viewer has been and gone.

Seems very positive a FTB currently renting a few streets away, needs a bigger house, wants to stay close by for family and school. She actually said she was going to arrange a viewing before it was reduced and panicked that we had taken it off the market when she could not find it on the same page on the internet.

She also said that her and OH had discissed the house (he was working and could not view today) talking about the garden and thier daughter playing out as it is a cul de sac.

Sounds very positive and she was lovely, I know it is a bit strange but I hope a nice person buys my house.

    Fingers crossed all.
