Well, there's lovely then! I see you are looking in Wales, though anything with a Kairdiff postcode comes with an English price tag! Penarth's much nicer than its cousin across the water, Weston Super Mud, and a property looking over the water faces south or south east too.
Challenge accepted. Although I'm also looking in Wales, this place came up in early February, when it was SSTC within a few days of us viewing:

We liked it, but when it returned to the market later, our sale had fallen -through too. Now it is back for a third time and not looking quite the bargain it was, as it's still at the original price, while we're down about 20%. To be affordable for us now, it would need to be about £370k. In Wales, for that kind of money, we could get a similar sized house, plus a holiday let and double the amount of land.
Mind you, a lot of people in Wales are still in denial. Here's one that's been on at the same price for the whole of this year. It has much that appeals , but it's £50k over the top:

People who have stayed at the same price while others of us have dropped will follow suit eventually, or they'll stay unsold. Their properties are priced for a world that no longer exists.0 -

Anyway, enough of me....I'm just so impressed at Lisa, giving birth and getting back to selling as soon as she could! She hasn't said if it's a girl or boy, not that it matters at this stage.....though it will later!
thanks dave... i had beautiful little girl, but oh what complications, emergency c-section due to full blown eclampsia fit... very scarey stuff indeed, she weighed 5lbs 12 ozs, but we are have pulled through it all and are here to fight another day!
no choice with the house selling, have to move, business is re-loacting in approx 2 weeks now, there is only one piece of the puzzle left to find now and that's a buyer....ho hummmmmmm0 -

Ha! Good old Bryn Gareg; on with John Francis agents for at least a year, but now the owners have decided to market it themselves with a none-too-staggering reduction of 10k, though without an agent's fee I make that a drop of £4k. And you have to negotiate with them personally..... A nice, varied property, but at 1000' above sea level, somewhat in the clouds and you'll notice that the land is what you'd expect at that level; not so much paddock as amenity grazing. Thanks for putting that up, as I wondered where it had gone.
DW and I will only buy a smallholding which is below 500', having both lived as children with daft parents who bought 'elevated' houses. The beauty of the Internet is that we can find out all thse details at the click of a mouse, instead of burning good petrol.
There is a property, which we shall go & see shortly, and it comes with a lot more access to civilization than Bryn Gareg, but I can't put it up here for obvious reasons! The problem with a lot of Welsh places is that they are up a track, half a mile off the road in the middle of nowhere, which is idyllic until you think about how you are going to integrate into the community etc....and of course what you'll do to earn a crust.0 -

Sorry to butt in, but that apartment is absolutely gorgeous! I love it.
Don't worry, no competition from me - unless my lotto numbers come up(oh, and slight hurdle of selling my own property  and moving across the country )

As a mere man, I can't fully appreciate what the whole 'growing a baby' thing is like for the Mum, but it's still pretty fantastic. I found 'owning' a baby quite scary at first, but it's amazing how quickly little adaptations take place; like learning to walk around the house in the dark, baby in arms, both of you 80% asleep, sometimes for hours.....0 -

Couldn't agree more - when my son was a newborn, it took me hours just to get us both dressed, fed, and out of the house to the park / supermarket, let alone anything more complicated!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Umm, we had 5, but we've worked out what was causing them now.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
