That's good news MoneySavingFamilyComp, let's hope it's all positive. Glad to hear that there is a bit of movement in your area, which village are you in? (PM me if you would prefer not to say online) Let's hope it filters through to all villages. Still feel a bit hacked off with our EA as after my complaint they have still failed to deliver anything ie. promised to retake photo's again. So am waiting to hear your experience of the new EA as I may follow suit. Beginning to think the only way I will ever move is if I win a substantial amount on the lottery!!!0

Hi all,
I've been a lurker on this thread since our house went on the market in Jan ...
after 5 viewings in the 1st week - 2 of which were 'no shows'
we've since dropped the price by £15k now and still not managed to drum up much more interest !
2 more viewings - one went on to rent elsewhere the other says "it's too small" and 3 more 'no shows'
anybody would think our house is a right dump or vastly overpriced, neither of which are true i should add.
any tips on how to get over that let down feeling, having spent all morning tidying will begreatly recieved.
starting to wonder what FTB's are expecting for their money !?!?
cheers Jase0 -
Welcome Jase.
No shows are a real bummer! Its soooo rude. No that feeling is awful.
Hopefully you will have some more interest soon, Jan and feb are pretty useless mths for most, people dont seem to go out and about much, hopefully some spring fever will be with you soon.Pawpurrs x0 -
Beki-really really sorry; lets hope that something can be salvaged yet. Don't give up hope as tomorrow is another day afterall.
I'm also confused over the market at the mo; i'm getting all sorts of viewers through my door (luckily I don;t live there so don't need to constantly clean up!) but the feedback is non existent. The EA is asking them but they're being really non specific. It's driving me crazy; at least if they said that they hated it I could at least do something about it.
it's only been on the market for about 5 weeeks and this is my first experience as a seller so perhaps i'm just expecting too much0 -
Feedback is a wierd and wonderful thing! Most of my feedback has been the same, but nothing I can do anything about! One said she didnt want it because there were children living next door, she had two children herself!
Most have said road/parking.......cant do anything about that!
Some say loved it but dont know why, just didnt feel right!
Most say loved the house but parking/road. If it was down a lane with a drive it would be twice the price!
Another viewing booked in for today, but they do live in a rural lane with a Garage, so not sure they will go for it, although they are obviusly downsizing.
5 weeks early days yet:rolleyes: :rotfl:Pawpurrs x0 -
Been away....catching up.
Really sorry to hear about your latest news, Beki, but perhaps it'll come right yet. (Been there myself x3) You have been so flexible/sensible, it has to work out eventually. One thing I learned from last years experiences, apart from the fact that there's no perfect house, is that the near-perfect ones are more abundant than I imagined. Even if this one escapes, there'll be another.
Moneysaving, perhaps when she shows up she'll be worth it. Let's hope!0 -
