Beki-I've just spent the weekend in Lincolnshire visiting my family. I'm sure that you have made the right decision. My sister and family moved there two years ago and absolutely love it there. My mum swiftly followed them following her retirement and she says its the best place she has ever lived. They are in the Sleaford/Ruskington area; is that near you????

I've now had about 5 viewers in about as many weeks ranging from FTB's to investors to those looking to downsize. No offers yet though; I'm not absolutely desperate to move but it would be nice as me and the boyfriend could actually live together properly then! With us only paying one mortgage we could also have more holidays!!!!!

Here's hoping all our potential viewers were scouring rightmove over the wet bank holiday monday.

No feedback from the second time viewers, but a viewing booked in tomorrow, funilly enough, from someone who I think I have their property saved in my property list on RM, so that could be a good sign
    Given up really......

Feedback from second viewers, not for them, not as excited upon second viewing.
Another last minute booking, coming in half an hour. Lady who was finding out about the conservatory, says she wants it, but still finding out information on that.
Any one else got any updates?:p

What's the asking price? How is it priced vs the competition?
Asking price is £285k.... The competition ? Well that's a tough one to answer, but I think we are competitive. Out of the 5 weeks, we have been on the market, it was SSTC for 4 of them (then the buyer pulled out as we couldn't find a property). So I suppose the fact we have only been open for viewings for a week and had 6 viewings and 2 offers during that time, kinda suggests that we are doing something right.

Our buyer pulled out this morning (took his girlfriend for a tour round the local area at the weekend and she wasn't keep apparently  )

I don't know what we're going to do. We've all built ourselves up to buying this other house now, and we love it so much - i just can't imagine moving anywhere else as idyllic or perfect for us

I just don't know what to do with myself... :(

The EA when we spoke to him this morning said he had another couple interested, especially when he mentioned how much we'd dropped the price for our buyer, so he's lining up a viewing for them. I just feel it's going to be too late for us to buy the other house though :(

the house we want to buy (but is looking less and less likely now :( ) is not too far from sleaford. it's about 8 miles north-east of boston. thanks for the info re; your family and lincolnshire. i so hope we end up there.

So sorry to hear that Beki, worst feeling in the world.
I wouldnt be too happy that your EA has told them the offer of the previous buyers?
Hopefully you will get another buyer soon, and dont lose the house you have offered on, have you spent out money on surveys etc yet?
Viewing been and gone, not sure what they thought really, but I dont think it will be for them. Asked all the worst questions. Who knows.

Beki, I'm so sorry to hear that.

I know what Pawpurrs means about your EA telling the new viewer about the previous deal...but if it means they can jump straight in and pick up where your buyer left off it wouldn't be a bad thing.

    Fingers crossed for you.

You're at a really difficult price point. Even if you're competively priced, I'd imagine most buyers would want to get in below the stamp duty hike threshold. Any chance you could accept £250k & concentrate on getting a good discount on the one you're buying?
