well, yesterday we drove up to lincolnshire for the day, and spent the WHOLE DAY at the new house (it's empty) :j :D the vendor gave us the keys and said to just drop them back through his letterbox whenever we were finished.

we spent ages just sitting on the sitting room windowsill, talking about how we felt so at home there, and how it's the perfect house for the children to grow up in. we sat in the garden for ages too - nothing to hear but the birds :D (and the kids argueing over the last crunchie  :rotfl: )

we measured up for the curtains, and were deciding where our huge corner-sofa will go - ummm... nowhere it seems :rotfl: so it'll have to be split into two sofas i think (it's in two halves anyway).

also, we spent over an hour driving round the area, through all the villages etc, and generally finding our way around. and there wasn't one single area we found that we didn't like the look of - all the houses were immaculate, the verges were well looked after, people were outside washing their cars, and lovely countryside as far as the eye could see.

i just hope we're not setting ourselves up for a fall, as we've fallen head over heels for it now :o it's just absolutely PERFECT :D

and i've even plucked up the courage and told my best friend that we're moving now, so it had better happen, or i'll have gone through all the "i can't BELIEVE you're leaving me!" speeches for nothing! :rotfl:

how disappointing :( i wonder if maybe they couldn't find the house? that happened to us once, and afterwards we made sure we took the vendors' contact numbers whenever we viewed any houses, incase it happened again!

fingers crossed that's what happened to yours xx

    Hello.

Well we have agreed which EA will market our property. The contracts were signed on Saturday and the boards are going up tomorrow and the brochures will be printed.

I am excited that things are moving but so worried what the future holds. We went to view a property last weekend and fell in love (terrible thing to do I know) and now we just want to sell ours to put in an offer but obviously I have terrible luck so doubt this will happen!

Have read the past 10 pages of this thread and well done to everyone who has sold and good luck to everyone else.

After going on the market last Friday our pics still aren't showing on Rightmove. I called in to the EA's office today and they said it was out of their control (something to do with Desrez?).

I told the EA it was really frustrating as I was hoping to have viewers lined up for this weekend.

The pics finally showed on RM on Friday. I think I let myself get a bit carried away with the thought of a quick sale as I thought the EA would line up a viewing or two over the weekend in response to the mailshots and RM enquireies. Looks like I need to just sit back and be patient.

Hopefully I'll get a viewing this week.

    Good luck to all.

  • thanks everyone we are hoping she had a problem and couldnt phone EA to cancel and will want to book another viewing but i think we are clutching at straws more likely she had other viewings lined up found one she liked and didnt bother turning up to rest. it makes me so mad if id booked a viewing and couldnt contact agent to cancel i would turn up if at all possible out of curtesy to the vendor. maybe im too polite for my own good.
