Feedback from viewers yesterday, not for them. Got the old dear coming today. EA said they had twelve people asking for details yesterday alone!
I still feel despondant! Its a funny one so much interest, but no acceptable offers.
Good luck to all with viewings over the weekend.Pawpurrs x0 -

If it's any comfort pawpurrs we had a lot of interest in our house but no offers. In the 14 months on the market we regularly had at least one or two viewings a week so definitely over 100, even after we only allowed proceedable buyers we continued to get at least one viewing a week. We got sick of hearing that the garden was too small or that they didn't like the shared driveway or that they thought it would be noisy as the road can be used as a cut through to get to town. But we got there eventually, one ridiculously low offer by one couple, followed by a decent offer a week later by another couple and we are now looking to exchange next week. I'm sure you'll get there too (hopefully in less time than us!), good luck.

Thanks Amanda, that is some comfort, 100 viewings, crikey! Dont tell me that that would mean I am only half way there!
I did want to say dont bother with this viewing today, as they are not even on the market, but the person who bought my last house was in that postion, put it on deal done within a week, although thats unlikely to happen again, you never know do you?Pawpurrs x0 -
you never know do you?
No you don't... we sold to an investment buyer who wanted to view with only two hours notice... "yeah right... even if he does offer (investment buyer on this house?), it will be ridiculously low... AND I have to get the house all amazing in about an hour!"... almost just turned it down, but I didn't and he offered a reasonable that evening and we accepted. You just never know...
(although with the recent bounce I do wonder if we marketed at completely the wrong time... if we had hit the market now, we might have got more for it.... but you can't live life on "maybes").

Have my fingers crossed for you. Let's hope Durham is starting to pick up now. Keep us informed of what your EA is like as it's likely I will be changing EA in the near future and will defo take any advice from your first hand experience.0 -
Voted too :-)
I'm off to look at a house this afternoon although I don't feel right about it.
I emailed for some details to be sent to me and the EA called and was (politely) pushy about me going to see it. I said that as my house wasn't even properly on the market yet I didn't want to waste the vendors time.
he called back 10 mins later and said he'd arranged the viewing and the vendors were fine about my status.
What do you guys think? I've asked my EA to only book viewings for people who are ready to progress. Is this the wrong approach?0 -
Can I be cheeky and get you lot to vote for my pooch? Only if you think hes cute of course!

Been and voted.
Pawpurrs, just been catching up on the thread the last couple of days (I think I was over 20 pages behind!), sorry to hear that you're still on the market. It's a gorgeous day here today, so here's hoping the weather will bring out some buyers to come and look at your house.
Lots of new folks - I wish you all the best of luck too. I was on this thread earlier as we were selling my parents' flat, we completed the end of Jan after being on sale from July last year. Flat needed a load of work doing on it, but was in a fabulous position overlooking marine lake and estuary, so there was quite a lot of interest. Agents did all the viewings as it was a bit far to keep going over to show folks around.
We can't make up our minds yet whether to stay put in our house and do it up nicely or to try and sell and get somewhere with a garden - maybe a bungalow as I'm finding stairs a bit of a bother. But I love our house (we've been here 36 years come August) and I think it would be something of a blow to leave it... Decisions decisions!
Best wishes to everyone,
Maggie0 -
Thanks for the advice and tips guys.
It is awlfully difficult to sell items as not many people buying as they used too, but alittle help does actually go along way.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE Forum Team0 -
Old lady I think has been and gone. Went out for a drive and was going to do a drive by of a house, that piqued my interest, and there was lots of people waiting outside for viewings, (its empty) so went and had a quick squint! Needs more work and much smaller than I anticipated, there were no internal shots in the details.
No more viewings in the pipeline at the moment.Pawpurrs x0 -
Hi
We are going mad looking at houses. We saw this clicky link
and were wondering if anyone has any opinions regarding a fair price. It seems like the current occupants bought for £235k in August 06. No improvements made. Could this seriously have bucked the trend and gone UP :eek:0
