Viewers been and gone, they havent sold yet, as allways seemed to love it, BUT......... I suspect they will say parking, again! He said Im sure it would put people off, well yeah doh! But not many terraced properties have parking do they! They have allways had modern properties but long for a period one, but bet they end up with another modern one.
Just the old dear tomorrow, no one else booked in for the weekend, at the moment.
Think theres only a few of us oldies left to sell now.....
but anyone got viewings lined up for this weekend?
    Pawpurrs x ;)

If it will make you feel better, I'm game for a bit of sightseeing. PM me your Rightmove details, and I'll arrange a viewing.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

:rotfl:I suppose I am quite old (feeling it most of the time anyway!), and although I haven't posted on this thread before, I have been lurking since it began.

We've been on the market since last June and we've only had ONE viewing!!!

We have been concentrating on selling another house in France, which finally sold after 13 months, we are due to complete on 29th.
So now I really must concentrate on this one............

Good luck for the weekend everyone, especially you Pawpurrs!

Still no viewings my end, even after the price drop  Hubby is dreading leaving on Sunday with no end in sight. Im not looking forward to the kids being sad either. I cant see me moving this year, but at least I have de-cluttered! Got rid of years worth of 'stuff' which we have just moved from one place to the next!

Hi Everyone. I've just joined this site today after being up till silly o'clock last night reading all your posts and advice.

The 'for sale' sign has gone up today and I'm just waiting on the HIP so will be officially on the market next week.

Hopeully, I've priced the property for a quick sale as I can't wait to move.

Every room is getting a fresh lick of paint this week and I've re-grouted all the tiles (floors and walls). Just the jungle out back to tackle which is a job for this weekend (weather permitting)

The EAs that valued my property have all said that things do seem to be picking up and there's certainly a lot of properties that have moved to SSTC status on RM this week.

Hopefully things will pick up for those of you that have been struggling to sell.

    Good luck everyone!

Bought the local paper today and our house is in the Property Section showing the £30,000 price drop.

Also got a letter from the EA today saying they have sold 30 houses in the Wetherby area recently and that things are looking up.

Going out on famiy picnic tomorrow and taking DD back to uni on Sunday so trying to forget about things for a day or so.

Good luck to other sellers with viewings etc.

Well both our current property and the future property are now showing as STC on Rightmove.

I was just wondering if anyone knows what happens now? There is no chain other than us and our buyers - the new house is empty and our buyers are FTB's - we've both had surveys done and mortgage offers in the post. I do know that contracts have been sent to our buyers solicitor...so what next? How do we agree on an exchange and completion date? Will we be contacted for anything in the next couple of weeks? Should I be chasing anything up? Will we exchange and complete with both buyer and seller at the same time?

I think that they will probably wait for the mortgage offers to come through (in writing) before setting and exchange date.

Personally I think that it never hurts to be pro-active - chase your solicitor and estate agent for regular updates... solicitors always have a number of clients at any one time, so a reminder every few days or each week isn't a bad thing (to keep your case in their mind).

    Hope all goes smoothly :)

Sorry, I knew I'd phrased that wrong, lol, I meant we've both had mortgage offers in writing, copies with both solicitors.

It'll have been almost a week on Monday since we agreed to pay for half the roof doing so I'll be making a couple of phonecalls/sending emails on Monday i think. Don't want to be too much of a pain but by the sounds, our buyers are as keen as we are so hopefully they'll be chasing up their end, however they are FTB's so don't have much experience and if they're anything like we were 10 years ago, they'll be happy to just go with the flow...:o
