Right I spend a while doing some quotes, but then it got wiped! as this had me a little intrigued any way Imp in November says that they are FTB looking for a flat in oxford, then a week or so later they are selling a flat in cardiff, then they are buying a three bed house, basically looks like they are came here to wind us up, although if I have iit wrong I apologise.

Have talked about price again - still looking v. competitive and there is not much around in same bracket.

I don't think this is enough, to be honest...

Looking as a buyer now (since have exchanged to sell and complete next week) - prices are still too high to buy around here. There isn't much in my price bracket and most of what there is is about the same price (so "competitive" with each other). Basically we sold at late 2006 prices, but the houses that we are looking at are still at "peak" (late 2007 prices) or "peak AND a bit on top". We just can't afford to do that (buy in a higher market than we sold) and it looks like just about no-one else is either... If you want to sell at the moment, you pretty much have to under-cut the market in your area...

    Good luck

    hi again everyone

you're all right in that all viewers should be encouraged and the fact that mine hadn't had an offer accepted on her house yet shouldn't put me off too much, afterall, a viewer is a viewer! As it is, she came back to the EA today and said that my kitchen was too small! never mind; she was looking to reduce her mortgage so presumably was downsizing. Mine is only a two bed terrace so ideal for FTB but perhaps a bit of a shock to someone from a 4 bed detached house. She might still be back once she sees what else is on offer at the price she wants to pay anyway. Ever the optimist.

Looks like the bank hol weekend is bringing a few more potential buyers out of the woodwork so fingers crossed for all of you looking for that one.
  • thanks helsbells i needed that laugh pleased i do the viewings not the agents lol . now i know we are all desperate to sell but really parading the husband in the nude is going too far:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:i cant believe the agent still went ahead and did the viewing lol

Naked hoovering????? No, haven't done that, but baring all for the media has worked in the past, even for the WI. How about a 'lead' planted for the local rag? The story could be just the publicity you need!

Certainly, this couple, who I've met (in a business context!) have found that getting their kit off pays handsomely......
