ftb who live somewhere else and are considering buying to let, either a place where they live or elsewhere, its not a buy to let place, does not make sense to me at all....... why not buy somewhere to live yourself???
I don't know, some people work in VERY mysterious ways... I really wouldn't say that out place is "buy to let" either, but the buyer bought it to let - very odd!
Good luck though and hope that you had a good day

Well all the people who I thought were dead keen, ended upp being a dead loss, and its seems those that arent end up being the *one* so who knows.......
Thanks all just been out for a nice dinner, no more viewings booked in for now, not sure if the EA is open tomorrow......Pawpurrs x0 -
We've been told that we should be looking at achieving -30% of what our house would have been at the peak - which brings ours down to about £210K. Perhaps your £250K is still a bit too high if it was £280K at the peak?
Ours was valued at between 275 and 285 by different agents in July 07 we have just sold for 230, I think 250 is probably a little optomistic but 200 still a bit low?0 -
i've also noticed that on RM a lot of places round me are now shifting; also, building has resumed on a site that closed down in about November time. Perhaps those 'green shoots' of recovery are not just a figment of the imagination! fingers crossed anyway! no viewings for me this weekend but my EA was pretty much closed throughout the holiday period so perhaps all my potential buyers will be hammering the door down on Tuesday morning!!!!!!0

However the viewer hasn't even had a sniff of an offer on her house so it was a pretty pointless exercise showing her around!
x
Just wanted to say we viewed a house that we really liked which came on the market a while ago. At the time we were not proceedable as we had not had an offer on ours. However, as soon as we did we went back for a second viewing and put in an offer which was accepted. We completed on ours last week and we will move into our new one nwxt week so your first viewer may not turn out to have been pointless, you never know!0 -
Well I never thought I would be in this position.........under offer on my house but unable to find a property to buy! There were plenty within my price range up until I had an offer on mine! So property at the lower end of market is moving around here. I now need to accept that I will probably need to move to areas I would never have considered living in... gutted!
I hope this means good news for all of you trying to sell at moment.YNWA JFT96 :A0 -

Have you still not sold yet ?, with property like to come off another 10-15% over the next 12 months, rising mortgage rates just round the corner and 3 million unemployed by the end of the year, it might be a good idea to try and jump ahead of the curve and knock 10% off your asking price.
Lending is set to be around £180 billion this year, compared to £360 billion at peak, that's 50% less funds for the banks to lend out, if their is a spring bounce, I would say a lot of it is being funded by cash buyers, which will eventually run dry as the price indexes continue to trend downwards over the rest of the year.0 -

Have you thought that renting for the next 6+ months and continuing to look to buy in your prefered areas?
