I don't know which is worse; 51 viewers over 6 months or one viewer in 5 weeks! Nothing booked in for this weekend (again!!!!) but am sending good vibes to anyone who has viewers booked for the holiday weekend.0

Dont know Geordie, if you dont have people through the door you cant sell? But wouldnt it be nice if it was the first person through the door, nearly happened for me, but no cigar! What does your agent say?
I did have a viewing drought for a few weeks and have to say that was awfull too!
Every viewing and I cant help but think...could these people be the ones?
We will get there! Eventually!:rotfl:
There is still time for you to get some viewings, Easter weekend is renowned for late bookings being booked in, something to do with four days off and nothing better to do!
Think I will start charging admission, the table is laid by the Inglenook and some scones are in the old bakers oven and clotted cream, and homemade jam are on stand by.

Jeeez Pawpurrs, with 51 viewings and it being springtime, I get the feeling you should be having an offer soon. Are you keeping up with other similar properties price wise. When we were selling, we compared our house price to other similar properties at least once a month. We put our house on the market in Aug for £136950 then reduced it in November to £129950, then reduced it in January to £124950. We accepted an offer of £115000. I wasn't delighted, but what persuaded me was: a)offer was from a FTB and b)no more house viewings. I thought in a earlier post you mentioned that the house is not a problem but the area is (I could be wrong), can you give more info.0

No its not the area its the fact that it has no parking, but there isnt an issue with parking you can allways get a space as everyone else bar me has a drive. And its rural so not many cars. Nothing I can do about that, the other reason its near a road, albeit a fairly rural one again nothing I can do about that.
I think the price is very reasonable, its a one off so not easily comparable! But its on for less than I paid for it despite renovating it. Everyone loves the house, its just getting someone willing to compromise on those two issues, in exchange for the character and charm.Pawpurrs x0 -
Well, from what you have said, your house is fairly unique. But 51 viewings! Something must be attracting them. Good luck for viewings over the weekend. I am off work until Tuesday now so won't be online. Give us an update as soon as you can.0

Hi everyone,
Let's hope Easter is a good time to sell this year - although there seems to be no "normal" about anything at the moment. We had viewers 27 and 28 on Tuesday (all done by agent - let them earn their fee!). Viewer 27 didn't even get through the door because s/he decided they didn't like the look of the area. Really don't know why as it's quiet, houses are well-maintained etc, near buses, shops, but away from busy roads. Anyway, no. 28 was v. enthusiastic but has now decided lounge is too small. Viewers 29 and 30 are booked in for tomorrow and Sat, and agent is hoping there may be more. Says there is a lot of interest still - but why is no-one buying. Have talked about price again - still looking v. competitive and there is not much around in same bracket. Kitchen is a winner - much better than in similar properties. Think we just have to hang on in there, but it is a bit stressful at times.
Hope there are more success stories this w/e.0 -
Just a moderately amusing tale to try and cheer everyone up. With nothing booked in from the agent I was enjoying a leisurely sat. morn. A knock on the door first thing ....As place was a tip (you come straight into front room) and I was only half dressed I decided as they were suited with a briefcase they were either selling or trying to convert and could be ignored. Just to be sure I decided to look through the bedroom window as I was en route to get dressed before commencing the Sat. morning tidy anyway. As i got to the top of the stairs I could hear someone shouting hello too clearly & loudly for comfort. i ran back downstairs looking a sight bottom half dressed top half PJ's to find an estate agent making his way to the stairs where my partner was hoovering in the nude. I should say at this point not generally given to nudism he had been on his way to shower before deciding rather than get sweaty again from hoovering he'd quickly do it first. The EA had let himself in with their key expecting the usual tidy empty house as nobody had bothered to let us know that isn't what he got. He looked quite shocked at the untidyness as it is always "showroom condition tidied" when he normally comes but seemed determined to go through with the viewing as I assured him edging him away from the stairs that it really wasn't a good time. I know a viewings a viewing but Im not sure a nude man hoovering would have enhanced our chances:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

I'm a bit fed up with the whole thing. Our house has only been on for a month but we've had only one viewing. On top of that the house we really, really wanted sold at the weekend. All other properties of a similar size are a good 20-30k more...
I don't know why we are not getting any views, it's priced realistically for the area and looks terrific on the photos on right move. I'll even accept nosey people just so it seems like i'm getting somewhere !0
