Hello, Cindie. No, they don't realise, but that doesn't make them evil, just inexperienced.

You get all sorts.... some are just truly ignorant (they will get a shock when they are in a similar position in 5/10 years time... :D ), others just don't care... Sadly there are an awful lot of selfish people around.

We managed to sell to a cash buyer and are renting for the next few months (whilst looking to buy). Hopefully we will be in a very short chain (or none at all) when we buy our next place... chains are frightening...

Sorry, I didn't phrase my answer very well. Yes, there are plenty of 'orrible FTBs too, but ours was a junior doctor, working mainly nights, and I just don't think she'd time or energy to study the ramifications of her dithering & slow decision-making.

  • Some positive news from me :) our price drop went live yeasteday and ive already got 2 viewings booked in !!

1 tomorrow at 4:15 a man who is looking to rent it to his daughter and one tue at 7pm. The second one sounds promising tho as she is aware that we have a private members club behind us ( and access to the club is to the side of us) as she drinks in it :)

2 booked in, in less than 24 hours of price drop things looking up ? i hope so :)

Not sure quite how to work out your 2004 price Charlotte? If the asking price was realistic a 17% drop would be in the 130s?

Thanks Pawpurrs, tbh i do think we were over priced at 164,950 i think back then 155k -160k would of been more realistic. Im no good with maths so whats a 17% drop from that ?

    Hi,

Finally took the plunge and the house was put on the market this afternoon. Just had a call from the EA and have our first viewing midday tomorrow - quite pleased really as I wanted to get the first viewing out of the way ASAP and settle some nerves.

Been watching this thread for a period of time now, so I think I know what to expect.

Most importantly, are you appropriately priced?
