Good luck Pawpurrs and AB... it is about time a few more people around here had good offers on their property
Fingers crossed!

Devilot, congratulations and I hope your vendors see sense. So much time is wasted waiting for people get to get their head around changing market conditions, which have then changed again by the time they do! I now believe about 6 months of our long wait was caused this way.
Fingers crossed for you, Aurora.
Noxon, I'm in a similar city to Oxford & your % drop seems about right. Hope you get that place you both agree on. Oh, for such agreement in our case too.....0 -
That sounds GOOOOOOOOD
Well done to alm721 for exchanging on the sale and good luck exchanging on the purchase.
Good luck to Pawpurrs - and anyone else with viewings coming up - with the viewings.

Thanks for that, felt slightly bad after I posted it, hope it didn't appear like boasting I just wanted to let people know that there are things still moving even if slowly!. Have been on the market 18 months though so its taken a good while but even we've got there eventually and I really never thought we would. In all that time we only had 3 viewings! and actually sold it when we had instructed the ea to take it off the market!0 -
Hello everyone,
A complete newbie but have been watching this thread for awhile. We have had our flat on the market for five weeks now and have had 8 viewings with one of those viewers viewing it three times and deciding this week it wasn't for them : (
Good luck to everyone0 -

No, no, it is brilliant that you have shared your good news. People often post about bad news and problems - so it is great to have good news too
You only need one viewing if it is the right people: just getting the right people through the door

Good luck to everyone
8 viewings during the first 5 weeks is pretty good(we only had two viewings during the first five weeks that we were on the market). Take heart and keep trying: sounds like there is some good interest in your property
Good luck

Plunging into the maelstrom now. We're in the odd position where we both needed to move back in May for jobs so the house got put on the market back in Feb last year. 5 months on offer and not a single viewing. Couldn't afford to leave it empty so it got rented to cover most of the mortgage interest. Now it's time to start again. House is on the market for the price we paid for it plus cost to refurbish in mid-2004. Our basic hope is to be able to sell it for enough to cover the remaining mortgage. Long-distance house-selling (combined with getting married) is not an activity I recommend to those of a nervous disposition.
If it does sell then it's going to be a little bit of the East Midlands that's most definitely back at 2004 values. Good luck, fellow travellers.0 -
Welcome Delarid to the mad house:p
Fingers crossed for some viewings for you soon. Was it on at a much higher price last year?
I have found this thread very comforting, its good to know your not alone! Selling is allways stressful, but at the moment its even more so, especially if you really want to sell/need to sell.
Fortune favours the brave and all that! There is hope a few long standing members here, have been rewarded for that bravery, some taking a hit, and hoping that that can then be passed on.Pawpurrs x0 -
Thank you QT
I think the viewer who viewed three times got our hopes up but its just a case of move on and forget about it I guess. Property does seem to be moving if a little slowly but this thread lifts my spirits especially when those offers start rolling in for everyone.0
