We have had a full page spread in a local house magazine and it's brought us nowt!
I am sick of tidying too like yourself geordiescouse, terrible when you've got kids, been on the market since last June. Reduced our price twice. It is now on for what we bought the house for and we have put about 15 grand into the house!!! ut we have to move and we actually hate our house now.

Have just started reading this thread so will catch up and keep in contact. I found it positive to read that people were getting sold!
  • No viewings lined up here either gone a bit quiet at the moment seems to be all or nothing!
Good luck Pawpurrs hope this is the one!!:j

Welcome Scattymam, can I ask when you bought your house? Trying to guage where we are back to.
Its easy to get carried away with price reductions at the moment, its not all down to price, what I mean is, of course you need to be competitively priced, but its a question of finding the right person too, I kept thinking shall I reduce more, but I know the price is good (at the moment, compared to all the competition) So its not the price, its finding the right person too.Obviously if you price it at a really low price, you are bound to get more viewings......But the person who came today, actually said they had discarded mine as they thought it was too cheap, way below their price range, so it must be small or something, but upon viewing said it was better than anything they had seen in their price range.......so who knows, price it too low and you could miss your person?
    I am rambling now!

That was quick! (I only went out shopping for a couple of hours....)

But that's how it seems to go now; people have had weeks of nothing much, then suddenly the right person comes along. The fact that it can be so very different inside 24hours gives a boost to those who are giving up.

Anyway this does sound different; they're telling you about the value. And they're from your 'old' agent too. Here's hoping!
