EA came today, not that happy with his valuation, but I think he's trying to price us at a certain level because he has a buyer looking in our village at that price. Little does he know, I have that same buyer booked in for a private viewing tomorrow!!! Maybe they'll fall in love with my house and be willing to stretch that little bit further.
Anyway, the 'posh' EA is coming to give us a valuation tomorrow, so we'll just have to see how it goes.0 -
Well we've finally excahnged contracts today for our sale. Completetion date set for a week on Friday, so its all systems go. Not quite exchanged yet on the one we're buying but expect to do so in the next couple of days so its all looking good here.:j0

My parents' old house near South Molton popped up in my Rightmove alerts today! Webbers have it on for £350k, but as Webbers often over-value, I'd say a good bit less.
In a stable market I'd have a nose around, but it's not really fair. I wouldn't want to live there; far too elevated. Can't remember what Dad sold it for, but I remember he paid £12k in about 1970.
I'm not sure who you'd call 'posh.' In my experience, all of them ask too much and hype anything if it has an acre or more. I have even seen places with no real land called 'equestrian,' because there's a wooden stable block and some outriding nearby!0 -
Hi Folks,
Well another weekend is nearly upon us again:rolleyes:
How we all doing? Many viewings lined up for the weekend?
Got one today (not in a procedable postion) and one for Saturday so far, still no news from the two supposdly interested parties......
Right fed up......best get tidying!Pawpurrs x0 -
We've just had an offer in...
For less than asking, but more than we were getting before....I tried to play it cool and say I needed to speak to other half before accepting but I actually wanted to scream 'YES!!' down the phone, lol.
Keep you posted...0 -
Wow! Brilliant devilot!
Would it be worth asking the agent to guage whether they are likely to increase?
Whats the offer against asking price? Are they in a good postion? Chain complete? Finance in place? Make sure the agent checks both out throughly.
Is the house you want still available?Pawpurrs x0 -
7% off asking, FTB, deposit being provided by parents, I think.
Just called other EA and the house we wanted IS still available, just waiting to find out if they are willing to accept the price we agreed on.....*bites nails*0 -
I am sure they will, have you accepted the offer now then?
Its got to be my turn soon.......Pawpurrs x0 -
Hi all,
No news from us, no viewings booked. We are thinking of changed EAs... Does it make much difference?
Great news for my friend, she put her house on the market Feb half term and this week has accepted an offer on it. So fingers crossed for her!I love giving home made gifts, which one of my children would you like?:A

That sounds GOOOOOOOOD
Well done to alm721 for exchanging on the sale and good luck exchanging on the purchase.
Good luck to Pawpurrs - and anyone else with viewings coming up - with the viewings.
