will hopefully be able to get on with some stuff on my lists now as my dd starts nursery today:eek:
still haven't finished cleaning living room but my windows are sparkling.:T
Got most of dd's presents now - there's just the things my dh wants to get her but that's up to him to do - will push him if it gets to november if he hasn't done it by then.0 -
I'm iching to get started on mine, but I have an xmas card class on 4th and I know if I start now there'll be ideas I want to use from the class (should of been last sat but got postponed due to low sign-up - guess not many xmas fans around here!!!)

Bah humbug eh Emay
I would love to do a christmas card class just for the festive excitement!
I wish you lot would stop telling me about how good you're cleaning is coming alongtigger and scattymam you put me to shame!
mum2one I just love your idea of making everyone a seperate lunch box that is brilliant. That is a lot of children to have running about at once you must be the popular one at school to get such a good turnout
I always promised that I would never have a child born around christmas time because to be fair.. that just SUCKS doesn't it!! Me and my DH tried for our first for over a year and then I became pregnant..and would you believe it.. he was born December 22nd LOL:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
Would it help if I told you I'm only just starting today? (Ok so I am cheating, we had a new floor fitted downstairs a couple of months ago so it's already had a really good clean (even swept under the floorboards!!!!!!!!, ok so it was full of rubble and empty vodka bottles...no wonder the floor was so uneven!!!!!) and I'm not doing it again!!!
I'm all out of sync with the plan, started my kitchen today, currently defrosting my freezer as i type! (only cause I bought the water soaker-upper things from lakeland and wanted to try them...they're ace, ice almost gone and only half the sheet water logged!)

Hi
I've been lurking for a while, picking up all the great hints and tips you guys have been posting. I have to be organised this year as we have a new baby due on our DD's 5th Birthday - 4th December!
I wondered if anyone had any ideas if there were any offers or discounts on Christmas Cards and Wrap? I've normally bought 3 for 2's at M&S or Boots.
Any other hints and tips for DD's presents gratefully received. She's extremely into anything pink and girly.
Thanks

Just had my local newsletter from Lidl and next Monday the specials are all cleaning and storage bits (steam cleaners etc) not sure if all lidl's have same offers on same days though0

There must be something about those cold January/February/March months! :rotfl:
DD1's birthday is mid October, DD2 is mid November and we have five family birthdays, three of my friends birthdays, four DD1's friends birthdays and 2 DD2's friends birthdays between October and December!! (Hope that made sense - anway, there just seems to be loads). It feels as if every weekend is taken up with some celebration! No wonder we have to get organised!!The great declutter 2010Money neutral and thrifty gifty for Christmas 2010 :xmassmile0 -
Hiya Raelil There are loads of codes in the discounts thread of the shopping section. At the moment there is a 5 off 20 one for Tesco Direct so you can pick up some Disney Princess or whatever she is into
I always love to go to cheapo shops for my wrapping paper but lately a certain someone has been raving tellin us to go to www.halfcost.co.uk for our things and it certainly is cheap
There is currentely a 40cm x 15m roll of brown paper for a pound at tesco too which is ideal for wrapping.
Good luck with your pregnancy I know how hard it is trouncing about the shops with a bulge to contend with.

well im pretty organised for xmas this year, surprisingly as ive not long had my 4th baby. but ive got all my families and oh`s families totaling 25 presents, im doing the £1 a day til xmas for my oh`s pressy, ive bought the 4 birthday presents i need before xmas and also my eldest sons presents who will be 8 in november, so ive just got the kids to concertrate on now. im so organised that when my parent came to visit last week i`d wrapped all that side of the families pressies , written the xmas cards so gave it all to my mum to take home lol 3mths early. anyway gives me time now to work on the kids stuff. xOne day I will live in a cabin in the woods0
