Ooh I like the sound of the orient express trip - me and my sis in law are hopefully having a center parcs spa day trip if they go back on offer beginning of Dec - my dad gave me the money for it for my birthday. Love my dad. It's good to have something like that to look forward to as well as christmas that is.
Well I'm pooped - I painted the last two walls of my kitchen tonight and cleaned the floor thoroughly(and then put the bin out so I can have a lazy morning) - none of these on the list with organized christmas this week but I feel so much better now it's done. One more step to being organized. So I can get back into things tomorrow - need to catch up with the living room and get onto the entrance way week. Have to read up tomorrow on freezing foods so I make sure I get it right.
Anyone doing the pumpkin sweet parcels for halloween. I love that idea and I think it is quite money saving. We end up spending more than I'd like at halloween and I always end up giving them more than one thing so I don't look stingey. But these parcels could just be filled with a few penny chews or smart price allsorts or something cheap and I'm sure the orange tissue paper(I know somewhere I can get this cheap) and pipe cleaners wouldn't come to much or could you use something else instead of pipe cleaners ??!!something (dare I say) cheaper. ( I get about 20 kids normally). You could draw on some faces too with black marker. Here it is if you haven't already seen them:

Little chicken- I didn't get a code - it's just when you place your first order as a new customer - just order a new catalogue and the leaflet about the roses comes with.0

Im back for a bit - been lurkign ont he OS thread ofr a while
Have managed to finish my dads present bar getting him some small dipping sauces. He so far has a book of sauces, a book of dressings, a jamie oliver flavour shaker and 6 packs of herbs to grow in his garden. Am going to include a picture from my little boy in there too and possibly a school picture of him.
Have been lookign at decorating date and had a nice surprise form boyfriend - he has arranged to take me chrismtas shoppign to Hereford for christmas (we livein south wales) and he said hereford is a little sort of oldie town - no big fancy shoppign centres but nice little street market and little oddd shops - love it already - only problem is he wants to go december 1st so i wont be decorating until wednesday 3rd december so that is when our chrismtas visitor will arrive
Also I did a christmas elf name generator game and put in my little boys name which is Benjamin P
t and it generated his name to
MERRY SPARKLY TOES and mine was decoded as Cheerful Tum-Tums. Think I prefer merry sparkly toes better.
Ooh where's the elf name generator? My dd's 1st birthday is Dec 3rd so that's a fab date to decorate :T
Still got to find an elf yet.
We are not having anything put up untill after her birthday so will do it either the 4th or wait untill the weekend.

Have just ordered a supply of cookie cutters/icing and cellophane bags. I'm going to make some Xmas cookies and ice people's names onto them and tie to pressies in the cellophane bags as gift tags. Will have to find a cookie recipe first.
I also bought a couple of cookie/cup cake boxes they were only 65p each. Will let you know how I get on.Save me from spending...

Hi Little Chicken
Hope this Cookie recipe is suitable, we used to use it when I worked at a Nursery some years ago, and was always successful.
7oz flour
4oz caster sugar
4oz margarine
1 egg
Mix together sugar and margarine. Beat in egg, add flour. Roll out and cut into shapes. Bake on greased Baking sheet 180oC 10-15mins.
We used to make seasonal shapes and cover them in caster sugar. However they would be ideal to ice on if you didnt cover in icing sugar. Hope this helps-good luck! When the 5 red lights go out ............ I'm off racing!

I have got the following codes for Studio:
10% off 20 spend FIRST ORDER + free del
041
20% off 50 spend FIRST ORDER
049
Free Delivery on all orders
033
I know that studio deliver to hundreds of people a day and have operated for a long time but please can I advise caution.
There was a long thread on here about Studio passing on your address to junk mail companies. About being charged for items that they didn't receive and receiving ridiculous charges.
I also read a thread with a man who worked for their courier company. He said they get paid so little and Studio go crazy at them if they dont fill every square inch of their van. One year they was just getting christmas trees and booting them into square shapes to make them fit. He said the free tins of roses, they open and eat then send them to you still.
I have contacted their customer services over something before and had to wait forever on hold. When I got through I spoke to someone who had an attitude like Vicki pollard!
