The recipe I use, from a very old Good Housekeeping book, puts one lemon in with the oranges, never had a problem getting a good set.

I use mum's recipe for marmalade and that has a lemon for every lb of oranges.

    Thanks for the ideas everyone.

any tips on making a GF or wheat free loaf in the Panasonic please?
the panny instruction book only lists GF packet mixes ( Juvela, Trufree, etc ) for the gluten free programme.

I've got Doves Farm GF bread flour, GF white plain flour, and various non wheat flours.

    thanks

  • Hi first post ever so here goes....
My mum has been on a gluten free diet for as long as I can remember and the best and item I have ever bought her was a breadmaker, she uses it all the time. It makes great GF bread (that even I will eat ) in comparison to the bought stuff

I use the Doves Farm mix, use their instructions on the back of the pack for machine bread, I make the medium loaf and press the dark crust button as well, use the gluten free programme and hey presto - 2 hours later - gluten free bread. It is best eaten fresh that day or slice quite thinly, put in freezer and use for toast, with loads of butter! Lovely!

Can't answer your direct question, but there is talk about Rice Flour on the Tiger Bread thread, and it says you can get it from Health Food Shops or Health Food racks in Supermarkets. There are certainly some Gluten Free receipes in my Panny Recipe book.

I am sure it can be made without a BM too.
