If you go to Amazon and look for:

Real Food: Gluten-free Bread and Cakes from Your Breadmaker (Real Food) (Paperback) by Carolyn Humphries

Go down to the reviews bit and there are some comments from people who've tried the recipes and comments about what worked and didn't work for them.
  • I've got a Panny BM and use Dove's flour, the White bread flour is easy to get hold of in any supermarket but so far I can only get the Brown mail order. I love the bread, I just follow the recipe in the Panny book and use the Gluten Free setting for baking. The bread is heavier than bought GF bread but I think it's better than any other Gluten Free bread that I've tried.

The white cheese & tomato bread is absolutely delish! The brown on it's own is quite heavy but the white & brown half and half is great.

HTH, any questions let me know

    Hi my mum

has a MR bread maker and she makes gluten free bread in it all the time.
Ok I am not unbiased with the results (she has been GF since I was three so am really used to flavours of GF baking) but I will not eat most of the GF bread products>Yet when she makes bread in her MR I am first in the que for when it comes out :o

On saying that it is a matter of taste and if used to "normal" bread takes a bit of getting used to.

    Tylersbabe

P.S MR will send you GF recipies

    Hi

I am wondering if any of you can help me please.
Since coming on here i have been making my own bread, cakes etc. Well my friend has found out she is Wheat and Gluten intolerant...she has to go for more ests etc, but always finds herself ill when she does eat bread, pastries etc.
I have offered to make her a few loaves in my breadmaker to see if it would be worthwhile her buying one. I have been on the tesco site and have put the doves farm gluten free bread on my shopping list....and on reading my BM recipe book it says that a few more ingredients are needed. If I type the recipe could somebody give me some advice as to whether they think any of these items could be left out......Mainly the veg oil, cider vin and eggs.

    Water 330ml
    Cider Vinegar 1tsp
    Vegetable oil 4tbsp
    Egg, medium
    Egg White, medium
    Flour 450ml
    Sugar 1tbsp
    salt 1tsp
    Yeast 1 1/2 tsp

If anybody has any other kind of gluten free recipe it would be much appreciated.

    Thank You.

I think D & DD makes GF bread, but she's not around at the moment. I don't know if she has posted a recipe or not.

    Hi redmel,

    This older thread may help:

    Gluten Free Bread

I'll add your thread to that one later to keep all the suggestions together.
