  • You can indeed use any oranges - and/or limes, or lemons - to make marmalade. Even quinces; that's what marmalade was originally made from & very nice it is too! Not to mention Japonica quinces..

    I've made two batches so far this year; the first from Sevilles from our local street market and an out-of-date tin of Marmade my neighbour was throwing out, and the second from two boxes of YS organic Sevilles from W'rose and a batch of end-of-the-weekend limes (£1 for 18) from the market. The two batches taste quite different but they are both nice & recognisably marmalade. And I've just found out why they seem to vanish so quickly - turns out Him Indoors has been selling jars off at work! Must investigate the legalities of that…

    That made me laugh, not sure on the legalities of it either but 10 out of 10 for Your other half! :rotfl:
