AGREENMESS you can buy ready prepared seville oranges in a tin from most S/Ms the brand is MARMADE and they do an orange and a lemon tin. You add sugar and each tin of fruit makes 6 x 1lb jars of marmalade. I use them all the time and they make really nice marmalade. They also come in for under £2 so considerably cheaper than buying fresh seville oranges which tend to be seasonal and available only in January in the UK. Hope that helps, Lyn xxx.0

Youi could take a short cut & use Mamade in tins, it is basically ready prepared Seville oranges and all you need do is add sugar & water and proceed as per normal marmalade making
I always used this method, I am too idle to faff around
PS Mrs LW "pipped" me at the postEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I'm sure you can but it won't have that same bitter-sweet quality that people either love or hate about seville orange marmalade.
I have a recipe for stop-gap marmalade which is designed to use eating oranges rather than sevilles if you want marmalade but it's not the right time of year. Let me know if you'd like it and I will dig it out tonight

We do have Sevilles in UK but now they are available end of December/January rather than February as they used to be so a lot of people miss them so they sell fewer so fewer places stock the next year etc etc Waitrose were selling them this year as well as independent grocers so it might be worth looking out really early next year in case you just missed them this time.
There are recipes which use sweet oranges - here's one:

or grapefruit marmalade has a bit more of the traditional marmalade bitterness:

Another vote for the Hartley's "Ma Made" tins. The best price I have found is £1.94 in ASDA. You also need 4lbs of sugar. The best price I have for 1kg bags of granulated white sugar is 69p in Poundstretcher.
I calculate the cost at approx. 59p per lb, which is comparable to supermarket own-brand marmalade. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

I know it's an old thread, but as you didn't get a reply..
Does your bm have a gf programme? If you haven't bought it yet I'd for the Panasonic one.
If you have a different model I can copy and paste the gf recipes from a panasonic booklet, you'd just need to put the ingredients in the right order for your machine.
Let me know if you are still looking for a recipe and I'll find them on my instruction booklet0 -
Tesco have them in at the momenthttp://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/search/default.aspx?searchBox=marmalade+orages&newSort=true&search.x=26&search.y=8&N=4294796041Slimming World at target0

you can use any type of orange or combination of citrus fruit. Clementine marmalade is beautiful but a real faff to make as they're so small.0
