ahh i see cool cool thanks
will try the bodt scrub hehehe i don't have a garden at the mo :P0 -
I seem to vaguely remember that slugs and snails run away if they get a whiff of coffee - if this is true then in warmer weather coffee grounds will be a real blessing in the garden. Free and non-poisonous to hedgehogs, birds and other wildlife. Fantastic!0

Apologies if this has been posted before.
I was in the new(ish) Starbucks in Bradford the other week (and only just remembered - d'oh!) and they had Free Coffee Grounds at the far end of the counter in bags of a couple of kilos ish.
(Apparantly) coffee grounds can be used as a fertiliser and are liked by nitrogen-hungry plants.
I don't think all Starbuckses do this, so maybe it's best to ring up and check first.
Hope to help
take care

Thanks for reminding me. I used to go to Starbucks last year for free Coffee Grounds. My garden plants could do with a boost

Hi all. Starbucks are doing their bit for the environment by bagging up their used pre ground coffee and giving it away absolutely free. The ground coffee pulp is excellent as a mixer with compost etc.
People may not have noticed it as it looks like it's for sale, but it's usually in a basket near the counter instore. My friend's mum used the last lot I gave her with impressive results - or so I believe.
Anyhoo, it's a freebie that all gardeners, amateur or otherwise, will appreciate. It works - and best of all it's free.
Hope this helps.

I've been thinking for a while now to go round the coffee shops and ask for any waste coffee grounds, so it's good to see that they're actually doing it off their own bat now. I shall go in today and get some.0_o0
