Be gentle with me this is my first posting! But in response to this comment re:starbucks coffee grounds.......


On Sunday I went into Sainsbury's cafe, and they are offering the same thing.....there was a sign at the cash desk, so I asked if they had any spare. A large bag of used coffee grounds was handed over for free! I was thrilled to bits. Unfortunately the woman behind me saw what I had done, but there was none left, I had the last bag!

Motto for you, get there early on Sunday mornings when coffee is the order of the day!

My mum got a bag at starbucks deepdale retail park preston, the lady behind wanted some but there were none left so she asked and they baged some up for her there and then, its worth asking if there are none to be seen.

This is about a freebie that is no longer available. I went in to Starbucks this morning and was informed that they No Longer give away the free bags of coffee grounds as someone had the very unfortunate experience finding their dog had eaten the coffee grounds - resulting in the poor doggy dying . So rather than have this happen again they have decided that they will not be giving them away anymore.

They are really good for the garden, slugs really dont like the stuff. I use it instead of the chemical pellets because of the dog and kids.
