Not much doing here, I might do some ironing only got 1/2 a basket to do so not a lot really, but cant seem to get myself going today. I dont feel ill exactly just a bit "yuk" if you see what I mean, and cold.
OH has gone to the bank and has to go to Doc's to see the nurse for a blood test for his kidneys, as the pills the Doc put him on can affect the Kidneys. His appt is at 4:00, last time he went Doc upped his dosage of pills and put him on another one, cant remember the name Perisomethinghis BP was over 200 so he has to slow down. But these pills dont seem to be doing him much good. I have told him to TELL THE DOC OR NURSE, but
its like :wall: .........

Afternoon peeps
Welcome to Cheapskate , the sun was shining this morning and it was a beautiful start to the day but my washing had only been on the line for an hour when the heavens opened.
Mioliere - i`ve made lots of bread rolls in the remoska and they have all been fab - apart from the ones that i made this morningi left the dough to rise whilst i walked the houndies and it was too long, the rolls have all stuck together like a huge round loaf and have also burnt as they glued themselves to the lid, i should have kept a closer eye on them
Our old doggie has his tablets wrapped in bread so they should last him a good few days.
Happy Anniversary Lord & Ladygrim!
Sammyjig - Huge ((((HUGS)))) for you and your DH.
Best dash i need to tidy the kitchen before i leave for w*rk.
Have a good day peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Afternoon everyone!
I nearly didn't find this thread cos no one had posted on it for an hour and a half and it had slipped down the list!!
So here I come to save the day.... da-da-da-daaaaaa!!! *Please insert superhero music here!!;) :rotfl: :rotfl: *
Congratulations Ladygrim honey! Big hugs to you both!
Betheebee - Glad your son is now ok.
Dazi - good luck with your interview.
Sammyjig - *hugs* to you and your OH - hope he has seen the Dr by now
taplady - well done on being runner up, that is a great acheivement!
Welcome Cheapskate - great to have you here with us!
I am worried today - my darling Treacle - the fat cat, had a fit last night. Last time she had these it was because she was having thyroid problems and eventually had one of her thyroid glands out, but they warned that if it came back there was nothing they could do for a 12 yr old cat.I am hoping and praying it's just a one off and not the start of losing her, but it kept me awake half the night worrying. It was so horrible to watch... both myself and my OH were in tears, 'though he manfully looked after me, once Treacle was back with us (after the fit, she is dazed and yowling for about 15 mins and it's like she can't even see or hear us - it's horrible.)
Anyway, sorry about that, but I only have her and my OH so she is my family.
Ok, so, tonight I am going to make the coconut pie my OH found on the recipe list and has taken a fancy to! I have to admit I love egg custard so this sounds delicious!
*Hugs* to all who need them and Congratulations to anyone who is celebrating today!

Oh, Diva...hugs for you and Treacle. Hope she is ok.
I've been really naughty and bought some perfume, there is loads on sale in Boots (I'm not on commission honest) it is Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet the womens one and is lovely. It should have been over £45 but was £11.63
So, if you are looking for birthday or chrissie pressies, try Boots, there isn't loads, but in my case, the 80ml was far cheaper than the 30ml
Off to do some ironing now.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

((((((((((((((((Twink))))))))))))))))))))) thinking of you.
Sunnyday - you've just reminded me that I have dough in the Remoska! I've just checked and switched it on so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've set the timer so I can cover them after ten minutes.
Pippa - I hope you feel a bit better now. It's horrid feeling low when you can't find a specific reason. Perhaps you are worrying subconsiously about your DH? Like you, I'm cold today!
It's bright breezy and sunny at the moment so I risked hanging the sheets out but they keep wrapping themselves round the line because the wind is so strong.
Well, I'd better clear up the lunch things and get on with some work, I suppose.

hope everyone is having a nice afternoon so far and getting on with their housework!!
My DD keeps bringing me wet washing from the clothes horse, and she now has on one of my fleece jumpers - like a fleece dress on her. It's only aged 9-10 anyway! (Big children out there)
How brilliant for all those of you where it's sunny! It's still pouring down here. But I guess that's what you get for living on the misty moors

I have just sorted out some bills we owe money on and sorted out our finances this week - I can quite honestly say that I am so fed up.
Done all the sums and it leaves us with the grand total of -figures, which isn't an option as we don't have an overdraft. And that's without food.
We're owed £1400 by my OH past employers. One being his step dad (£400) I hate his mom and step dad. And the other (£1000) is going bankrupt, apparently, so we're not sure where we stand.
Things were just starting to pick up for us, finacially, and it seems so unfair. OH family know what a tight situation we're in and that £400 would have made us get by, as we do, and pave the way for a good future.
I hate them.
[/rant]
Thanks
I don't have anyone to talk to about this sort of thing so it's nice to get things off my chest

Jackie - hope your dgs is back home and still smiling, I'm imagining him with his little hand in your biscuit tin about now!
Lilycharlotte - wish I had some good suggestions, but money can be a horrible worry, I hope you get some good news about the amounts owed to you soon, and that the job closer to home works out for your oh.
Mrs Mix - take care and I hope that you start to improve, but if you do have to go into hospital I guess at least they will be able to have a really good go at making you better and will be able to monitor you closely.
MSD - hope your cat is okay, and that the fit was just a one off.
Twink - not sure whether to say happy anniversary or not, but it always seems worse if nobody remembers dates even when they aren't really a celebration any more - not sure if I've explained what I mean or not? Anyway I hope this is taken in the spirit it's meant, happy anniversary!
Sunnyday and Moliere - I posted on the remoska thread earlier about my rolls, left them in bm overnight, put them into the remoska to rise and then cooked, they look like M&S tear and share bread now! Will be slightly strangely shaped burger buns tonight!
Just made some blackberry and apple muffins with a scoop of the mix destined for the crumble tonight, well, they are certainly an interesting colour lol!
Neighbour popped in for coffee, more planning for the charity ball, sigh, I wish I didn't volunteer for these things sometimes! I enjoy it really, but sometimes it seems like a lot of chasing around and nagging! Got a friend coming round for a late lunch, he's not very happy as he's just come back from his hols and I think he's found the weather and normal life a bit miserable to return to, he suffers with depression so I'm a bit worried about him. Will put my counselling head on when he arrives and then try to cheer him up - will see if he wants to watch stupid dvd's with me and the kids tonight, usually works, and dd3 thinks he's fab! oh keeps asking when we have to sign his adoption papers, as he's like another child for us!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
I thought I would log on, catch up and let everyone know that chicken tikka, despite all my expectations, has had absolutely no effect on little bear's nappies.
Then I read the posts...
Diva - poor Treacle! I do hope that she feels better soon. It may be a one off. An elderly female cat of ours carried on for years with one thyroid gland removed so I do so hope that this is just a little 'blip'.
Lilycharlotte - it is much better to bring things out into the light. Keeping things in the dark is only good for mushrooms. This is a very safe place, and sometimes you just have to let things out. I confess at the moment (after a few little blips) a full and frank disclosure of how I feel about dear heart on this board would probably get me arrested - although I will be madly in love with him again by tonight. Your case is different, and to wilfully put family in a difficult situation is inexcusable. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.
I am starting to make lists of what I need to take on holiday. I haven't been on a proper holiday since before I got married, so I am trying to get prepared. We are going to be staying in a small English market town and I have to keep reminding myself that shops there sell things like teabags and loo roll! I don't expect to need much for dear hear and myself, but I imagine filling a car with things for little bear. I mean, which of his favourite toys dare I leave behind?Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
