Afternoon all
there are a lot of poorlies and worried today so big hugs all round to all of you
Congrats to the grims and to taplady
hugs to twink, princesspixiedust and squishy's dh today - I do think it important to still keep anniversaries and such like even if it's just to raise a small glass - keeps the memory alive
very tired today - 3rd day running in court without an usher which means I don't get a break and the last case had some mildly aggresive witnesses. My lovely boss gave me a lift back as I punctured bikey on the way home last night and haven't had the energy to fix him yet.
I seem to have mislaid my little baby girl and got this grownupish one instead. Last night she popped into her sister's after school and got in at 6.30, went out again to catch up with a friend who is going to a different secondary school and was then on the phone with another girl who she was at infants with to arrange a reunion for saturday. Apparantly they are going to the high street to "hang". A month ago this dd wouldn't let me put the rubbish out to the gate without asking how long I'm going to be.
Well tea's not going to cook itlself alas .....
have a good eveningI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
OK. thats done. Have scanned through and just want to say a big thankyou for all the kind words and congratulations.
Lordgrim is impressed with all the different usernames.
sammyjig - hows your OH? Has he got a bed yet? What on earth is wrong with his leg?
Diva - am hoping Treacle is much improved. Its dreadful to think about them being gone isnt it? Give her extra cuddles from me.
Cheapskate and Lilycharlotte - welcome to the forum. You'll be hooked in no time.
Twink - Im worn out doing 10 years. I hope today has been a chance for eveyone to remember all the fun and laughter shared along the way.
Gotta go get ready now - hubby FINALLY out of the bathroom (he's worse than me!!)
Nite nite all

Hello Chums,
well my little grandson Mikey adored his first day at school, and came to tell me all about it at lunchtime .My DD survived today, and she is o.k. now. She will find it a bit strange at first after all the years of having a little one around but she will cope o.k. I think.had my DGD this afternoon and gave her a helping hand with her English coursework as I had done Of mice and Men myself a few years ago.She has gone home a happy bunny as she is back to school next Monday.Big year for her as its GCSE's next spring.
I'm just going to have a sheperds pie for dinner tonight, and a bit of R&R I think.Another NSD as I have stayed away from the shops .I can get quite used to shopping from my freezer I think .We had some Veggie soup for lunch and still had enough left over to go into the freezer. My DGd was so pleased when she came in and could smell it cooking .She wolfed it down, bless her .She says she likes HM better than from a tin.
have a good evening everyone

That's what I hate, not being able to sort it out!
I have a horrible feeling my mom will give us money, which I hate, but an always greatful for as sometimes... you just have to swallow your pride and take a hand out.
I think my dad is going to murder my OH step dad for putting us in this position!
Lilycharlotte, if you need help with your finances, pop over to the Debt Free board, they are fantastic, they will help with your budget and reduce your outgoings, I promise they will. They are a lovely bunch of people on that board too and you will not be judged at all, you don't even need to be in debt, they can advise you how to reduce your outgoings simply by posting an SOA (statement of affairs - incomings and outgoings to you and me:D ).

Hi all :hello:
I haven't read the thread yet and I didn't read y'day's either as I wasn't feeling up to bothering with the computer , will catch up in a minute but just wanted to let you know I'm still around
JackieO - just seen your post, so glad Mikey enjoyed his first day and that you are feeling so much better!
Best wishes to all whose little ones have their first day at school or nursery this week, and those slightly bigger ones are just starting high school!
((((HUGS)))) to all who are unwell or having a bad time atm, you are always in my thoughts.
Well, we finally had our new dining table and chairs delivered this morning. It's taken five months! They are still in their boxes atm, because we only had a couple of days' notice of delivery which wasn't long enough to arrange for the Council to come and collect our old furniture (I don't think it's really fit for their furniture bank, but we'll ask) and some other stuff that's been sitting in the back garden for longer than I'm prepared to admit
So at present our cluttered home is even "cluttered-er" than usual, honestly I despair of it sometimes :wall: Oh well, I'm sure it will all be sorted eventually. I hope.
All for now, I'm off to go and catch up with the last 2 days' threads.
best wishes

Merlot.x.Thank you. I have looked on there but feel a little silly with my tiny wee debts! I have done the budget planner and, technically, we should have money left over every month. I think it's just these couple of weeks with my OH new job and then not been paid from his old one! Can be a bit of a kick in the teeth.
My mom is putting a bit of cash in the bank account for us, bless her. She says it's silly to struggle and she doens't want it back. Ok so, I can't pay her back so we are having her stay for a week in Oct. half term - what you can't pay for in ££ we're making up for in love :rotfl:
Thank you all for being so nice. you all seemed nice when I used to 'lurk' lol
Corned beef has for dinner got a face pull reaction, so I sent OH to Aldi and I made a bolognaise. YUM. Nearly done now. And I'm STARVING lol.
Hope things are all getting better for everybodies littlies at school. Our DD is 2 in November and I can't believe how fast it's gone. It will be us buying her uniform for school before we know it!!

Evening all
Hugs to twink, mrsmix, sammyjig & MrSJ, penpin, msdiva, candygirl, jayward, lilycharlotte, Sybil, PP & smokey.
Someone, Mummysaver I think asked about BIL & court, they were given 2 months to find a buyer (it won't happen as the house is smelly & messy, 5 cats & 3 dogs!) This will mean the £13k redemption date is past. But if the house isn't sold after 2 months it will automatically be repossessed. Also in 2 months BIL should, please God, be in his own place by then & my moral obligation to take in the rest of his family should be over. BIL's son asked my hubby why his dad wasn't at work & hubby had to tell him about the court hearing, BIL's ex was keeping it a secret as she thinks all 3 of the kids should be protected from all this, I don't agree, they are 22, 21 & 10. The older 2 need to know.
The head organised an assembly for each year & they all got the same speech, new head, new rules, new start, shape up or ship out, all we need do now is be consistent. The kids on the hit list have been contacted & some are shaking in their boots & about time too.
Have a good evening.
Hugs Hester
