Hi, this is the Daily Thread for today. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Good Morning All
I am up early this morning as the cat wanted sommat to eat and would not take no for an answer. I my as well stay up as I have been laying there thinking of getting up anyway..
I hope everyone who follows has a good day and has some luck.
See you later off to have brekkie

Morning Kaat  and all who follow
Where is everyone todayI think you have all stayed in bed as the weather is so horrible
DS gets married a week on Saturday, and we are just hoping that we get a last minute Indian Summer
There is a local auction today, so going there as there are some interesting things listed. Have a yellow stickered meatloaf from Asda for dinner, so will do some oven chips and veg with it.
Off to walk Charlie soon, and it looks decidedly cool out there, so will wrap up.
Catch you all later xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Morning all :hello: It's tipping down here
I hope everyone is okay - not much OS to report today, off to work and the children are at their dads later.0 -
Morning Kaat_Lady, Charlies_mum, morwenna and all who follow.

Off to catch up on yesterdays thread. Will check back later.

Woke up early today, decided to get up and get on with things, got the rearranged interview later, also have to take another application form in on the way down.
Can't think about food for tonight till its all over, you'd think with the amount I've had lately it wouldn't bother me!
Have a good day everyone xxxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Morning all
Hope you are all well this morning. It's freezing here again. DS goes back to school today, peace at last:j . Have to do a big shop at Asda, also have some vouchers for Boots so I shall have a quick look in there. Then it's a serious de-clutter of DS's room, it's a tip.
CANDYGIRL big hugs to you and your Mum and Dad. Big hugs to anyone else who needs one.
DAZI good luck with your interview.
LADYGRIM Happy Anniversary!
LilyCharlotte welcome:hello: .
BETHEEBEE glad your DS is now ok.
Off to have a shower and haul DS out of bed. Will catch you all later. Have a good day all.

Morning!
Finally made it back from deepest darkest Derbyshire - we had a great time, only 1 grotty day and had a lovely long walk on Saturday (12 miles-ish). Now back to work10 hour day on Tuesday & almost the same yesterday but hey, the flexi time comes in handy!
Haven't caught up with everything I've missed yet, but will do so tonight.
Love & hugs to all

Good morning Kaat and Charlie's Mum; keeping fingers crossed for your DS's wedding next week. When my DS got married on the 8th of August, the weather had been disgusting all week but the sun came out and stayed out once the bride had left for church - I'm really hoping the same happens for your DS's special day.
Well, DH has just left for work having been home for most of yesterday doing quotes and making me all disorganised! I had intended changing sheets and cleaning right through yesterday but it's hopeless when he's around so I can get on with it today.
I need to get the BM and the WM on and then get cracking on the cleaning.
We're having sausages and baked potatoes all done in the Remoska for dinner. Last night's lamb hotpot was delicious - I'm so pleased with my Remoska and only wish I'd bought it years ago! They sound expensive but for convenience and energy saving, plus delicious results, they are worth every penny!
(((Hugs))) to Smoky, PenPin, Jayward, Essex-girl's Dad, Candygirl's Dad, Beth and her DB's, RedRuby and everyone who has been poorly lately.
Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:
I was quite cold when I woke up this morning but, like everyone else in the country, loathe to put the heating on - I really don't want to put it on until October but, if the temperature keeps dropping, we'll have no choice. Our house is not draughty - in fact, it's the warmest house we've ever had, but I still get cold around my feet when I'm sat at my desk in the winter, so I've decided to adopt an old-fashioned idea that my Mum told me about; I've used it before and it really works - you just put your feet in to a cardboard box! So I'm on the lookout for a good one that's deep enough and will take a size 4! It'll be a lot cheaper than buying one of those horrid check-patterned one-foot slippers you can get!
I spoke to DS1 and DIL last night and, despite DGD's tears before school in the morning, she and DGS both really enjoyed their first day back. I was so relieved. DGD's main problem is that she loves her sleep and doesn't like being woken up too early. She's five now and has always been like that! She goes to bed at 7pm and would stay there all night and all the following day if she could! Anyway, it's not that long until half term, is it?
Well, I'd better get the BM on and then get going on the chores so I'll see you when I have my next cuppa!
Have a great day, everyone!

Morning all
And another wet one - Leo is giving me looks that could put me 6 foot under as though it's mt fault!
Work today, although not a lot happening yet - hardly any referrals, so may have a good go at the resources room.
OH being elusive again - we need to talk as he has his Embassy interview on Monday - our work hours don't match up so it's dificult, but we need this to go right. I think I may as well accept that it just ain't going to happen this time, but it will be a while before we can afford to try again.
Hugs to all in need...off to read the thread.
