Hello everyone, happy anniversary to the grims, hope you have a lovely time. Pretty miserable here in Mk, overcast and raining what a surprise! Feeling very proud of DS, he has been using his potty all week and wearing pants, got the hang of it reasonably quickly, growing up so fast. Take care, duddles to all x
  • Morning Guys!

WM has been on this morning and now it's flippin raining:rolleyes: DW emptied and DD just left for school. I might have to use the TD today, so not very OS.

I am a little worried as I have my gyny appointment this afternoon and should find out whether I will be having a full hysterectomy or not. They have already had one ovary!...so not too much to take out I suppose but because its complex with other things going on with me, its going to make it very difficult.

DD asked last night if we could have a Roast tonight, so got a small chicken out the freezer, so that will be cooked in the Remoska along with some spuds and have a couple of frozen yorkshires that need using. I havent used the normal oven for nearly 2 weeks now!

OH asked what I wanted to do for our anniversary this year as its our 15th and I dont know what to suggest:confused: ....he suggested going out with some of our friends to a nice Indian we know, but its difficult to make reservations as it could be a bad day for me. I have a funny feeling that he is planning a surprise party:D

Was on the phone with mum for an hour last night which was abit strange. She seemed quite down so I just listened. She feels very guilty about the past, so I said that we cant do anything about that but we can with the future. I just want her to be a "normal" mum and not someone who shoves money in my hand at any opportunity.

Anyway, I hope everyone is okay.

    (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((smokey & children))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

    Hugs to all.

    Morning all,
Happy anniversary to the grims, ((hugs)) to those who need or want one.

Well, it seems I was a bit premature in my good mood yesterday!

DH's leg had got all better and he got up for work this morning (3am) complaining that it was itching. Thought it was just because it was getting better and off he went. He's just rung me, his leg has swollen to double size and is redder than ever again. He is still taking the antibiotics but they have obviously stopped working. What I'm scared about is that the doctor said last week that if the strong antibiotics he was given didn't work he would have to go into hospital because it was a dangerous condition.

He is going back to work as we speak (he is lorry driver) and will ring doctors when they open.

He said to me that he was sorry because he doesn't get sick pay, but (yes that will be a disaster with no money coming in) I'm more worried about him. I'm sitting here feeling sick with worry now.

I'm sorry to go on but I'm soo scared.
:)Do more of what makes you happy:)

PenPin - ((((Hugs)) to you and good luck with the appointment. When is your anniversary? It sounds like it must be soon.

Hester - that head sounds like he means business! I'd love to know how he gets on with the problem children so please keep us informed.

Beth - I suppose there's no point telling you to slow down, is there?

Pink-winged - I remember days like that when the boys were still at school - you don't get a minute to yourself just to think, do you? I hope you can ease off and have some 'me' time today.

Well, I've put the BM and the WM on, changed the sheets, cleaned the bathroom and washed the floor and am having a coffee before going back upstairs with the hoover and the magic Stardrops-white vinegar-water mix to do the dusting.

The sky is trying to brighten so I may be able to hang the washing out today. I got loads dry yesterday because it was dry but very windy.

Anyway, I really shoudn't be sat here - see you later.

    Morning Everyone

Congratulations to Lord and Lady Grim

    Good luck Dazi

(((Hugs))) to all who need them.

Its damp and dismal here today we had a massive storm last night, thunder and lightening right overhead.

Plans for today are to make a list of things that need doing between now and Christmas, including a present list. I also need to get yesterdays washing dry so I think that might have to go in the dryer. I got some yellow stickered oxtail yesterday so I think I will make soup for lunch. Tea will be stuffed pasta and tomato sauce from the freezer.

    Have a good day everyone

Hello everyone, Daily Chat newbie here - hope it's OK to join in!
We are me, DH, DS 16 yrs & DS nearly 16 months, & have DS 21 & DD 19 who each live with other halves, plus DS1 has a son, so I'm a granny, too!
Today I have to wash (got up late so WM not even on yet), iron, go to town to pay bills & get DS3 new bus pass for college, bake some sort of biccies & a pudding for after tea, clean bathroom, & start making Christmas cards when baby in bed! :rotfl:feel tired just looking at that list, so need another cuppa first.
Tea is chilli, plus whatever pud I make, tomorrow I fancy making Jamie Oliver's fishcakes off one of those Sainsbury's £5 meal cards. Got everything I need, except lettuce for salad, so shouldn't spend too much today!
Don't know any of you yet, but still sending best wishes, hugs etc, if you need them - please help yourself! :grouphug:
Hope to talk to you later.

    Morning all,

Wet and miserable here today, glad I got most of the washing done yestersay, dd is still in bed, having her last lay in before school starts tomorrow, will get her up in a little while though, so that 6.30 tomorrow is not such a shock  . I am feeling a bit better today, chest is still full, and I keep coughing for England, and I have to look at everyting I bring up to check its not blood, (sorry if tmi) but I have to go out today to renew dd's season ticket for the train, and she needs new pens, notebook etc, also I will need to get her an umberella, as she walks from the train station to school and back, and I am sure we are in for a lot of rain this autum, but this will only take an hour then I will be back to resting on the sofa, so don't worry :D .

Tea tonight will be chicken chips and peas, so nice and easy, and we have sainsbugs delivering.

I have some more apples to stew up, so might sit and do that later, just need some blackberrys to make some jam, but they are not ripe in our area yet.

Happy anniversary to the Grims xx
