Hi Tea,
good to hear that you're stocked up on medicinal stuff & well done on all your surveys etc. I'm also having a bit of a dry spell on lightspeed, keep getting the invites then getting politely screened out. Cant complain though because other times I seem to get loads.
Great news on the washing equipment - there's a cash & carry near us & if I could find someone with a card then they would be my very bestest friendI did ask local shopkeeper but he hinted to become a little closer than bestest friend  . I havent been back in the shop since
.
Take care of yourself
lula x
Whoops - completely forgot to ask how DS enjoyed school today ? I hope it all went well x0 -
Looks good to me.... your pigsback points have shot up, haven't they? Nice one... and its a good idea to stock up on stuff, of course - I love having deliveries for that reason. I have steps up to my house, and the thought that I only pay out £3.50 for someone to pick up my shopping, pack it, transport it to the house and haul it up the stairs is amazing - especially as £3.50 is the cost of the return bus fare!
Glad you've got your mum coming to see you, that'll help.
I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi Lula – DS had a great first day at school thank you; he’s only doing part time until Christmas and then he goes full time when they go back in January. However he is doing a full week of part time where as at pre-school he was only doing four days part time, big shock for him there I feel.
Hi Karmacat – I totally agree about the deliveries, I only tried it having being delivered to see if it was a good as people had been saying and so far I am impressed, it would cost me a fortune in petrol and probably even more in sanity after dragging the two terrors around the supermarket with me
On to today, I managed to get some sleep last night but not as much as I would have liked; DH sn’t sleeping properly because he’s feeling bad that he blew the inheritance that his dad left him on clearing debts and learning to fly, I’ve tried talking to him but I guess he needs to get it sorted in his own head before he’ll settle down.
After DS is delivered to school, DD and I are off to playgroup. I don’t count this on my NSD as it is something that happens and is included in my budget.
This afternoon after we have had lunch I have a bit of housework to do and my clicks and surveys to get sorted, I must do some washing as DS is on his second school jumper as he got paint on the one he wore yesterday and only has the one he is wearing today left.
Apart from that nothing will get spent and I can finish my NSD target for September with a smile
Have a good day all and I will try to update later if I can tear myself away from the housework.0 -
Yep, we all love housework, don't we! Have a good day!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Today has been a NSD and I have reached my target for the month, so am very happy :T . Tomorrow however I need to nip to Tesco’s and buy nappies, potatoes and yogurts (well that is the list so far….)
I have received the guide from EagerLearner and I am going to read through it and get my head around it and hopefully put it in to practise early next week, I doubt that I will make much money before Christmas but it’ll help if I get anything next year.
Tomorrow we are meeting a friend of DS’s at the local soft play centre for a couple of hours…that’ll be £20 down the drainbut I am determined to have as much left as possible when we come out.
Friday I have my first of two pre-op checks at the hospital and I heard back from NU to confirm that all is in order at their end with the insurance side of things so that is a weight off my mind
Hope everyone else has had a good day and I will update again tomorrow.0 -
I know I promised to update yesterday but it was a very hectic day here, I am wondering if I’ll ever get on top of things now DS is at school? I think it’s because I have to walk everywhere at the moment and that takes more time in my present condition and therefore it is leaving me with less time to get on with other bits
Good news though is that DS does appear to enjoy school, I just hope that lasts
Anyway enough rambling I am going to provide an update before I go and wash up and play with the play-doh with the kids.
I have read through the list that Eager Learner kindly e-mailed over to me and I have now signed up to all the sites and have been clicking, it is taking a while but I think that I will gradually get the hang of it. I will do an update next week of where the totals for everything stand so that I have it clear and written down, so to speak.
Today was my first NSD of October and I aiming for it to be the first of many :T
Tomorrow I go for my first pre-op appointment, so DH is going in to work late to assist with DS’s school run as well as running me to the hospital. I also have to go to the Doctors to pick up a prescription for some more pain killers and I have the shopping being delivered tomorrow too.
DH has been taking lunches still so that is something, so far though he has bought his lunch twice but that is because he was having a meeting at the same time with the subcontractors but they have returned the favour as they have bought him lunch today besides him taking sandwiches.0 -
Afternoon all,
Not much to report here I’m afraid but I thought that I should still update my diary so that I knew where I was up to.
My appointment went well this morning although they did take blood out of me, I hate needles, I’ve got to have some more taken out next Wednesday before I go in for my operation on Friday.
Shopping is going to be delivered this afternoon, which is quite a good thing as the fridge is looking rather empty. I can then make a start on the shopping list for next week to be delivered on Thursday.
I got my prescription from the Doctors and have now for enough painkillers to keep me going for the next fortnight…it was still £7.10 spent but was a necessity and I took DD to playgroup which was £1 spent but included in my budget but today will not be a NSD as this evening we are going to the pub to meet our friends.
Am off to do some clicks and the washing up…what joy.
Forgot to mention, I had £7 left out of the £20 from the soft play centre on Wednesday, however I did manage to leave my mobile phone there and we ended up walking all the way back to get it...Doh!0 -
Thought I should just post another quick update.
This weeks shopping has been delivered and put away, we ended up with organic chopped tomatoes as replacement for the smartprice chopped tomatoesand I have done the shopping for next week and have saved £5.46 I also ordered their smartprice curry sauce at 4p  to see if it is any good, it might turn out to be rubbish and we'll possibly ordering take away that night if it goes wrong but I thought it is worth a go.
Anyway I'm now going to transfer the £5.46 over to the savings for the overpayment at Christmas to SIL.0 -
You're doing really well to keep going at all with such severe pain in the background. How long are you going to be in hospital, hun? Are you planning to batch freeze meals for OH?
Clicks... oh joy. But they add up, its true.
Do you do free-to-enter competitions at all? If you do, you might be interested in the gm.tv ones... they're free to enter on the web, and you can have five entries - you have to watch the show to find out what the question is, but of course you can just record it on a spare tape and tape over it again and again, and you can do the entries over the following few days. Its £10,000, so its quite a lot of money every day - they must get hundreds of thousands of entries, of course, to be giving that away, but nothing ventured, nothing gained....
Right, I've had my brekkie, got to input this mystery shop now, trust it will go well and I'll be able to get more jobs from this new-to-me firm.
Have a good day - hope you can get the littlies outside for some fresh air still.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning All,
I didn’t get chance to update over the weekend as the laptop went south mid morning of Saturday and DH had to take everything off it and reinstall it all again
Karmacat – no need to batch freeze meals for DH as he is a good cook however I have made sure that there is enough meals in the fridge freezer for the kids so that all DH has to do is defrost, microwave and serve.
Haven’t entered the comps for GMTV for a long time, I got bored doing that but must get my backside in gear once I have had my operation.
Hope that you got the mystery shop sorted and that you have more to do in the future.
On to today, I have housework that I want to get done before I go into hospital Friday afternoon and I have some clicks to do.
Totals for the week are as follows:
DH’s Pigsback account: 775 points

My Juicy Brains: £9.50

DD and I have also been to Tesco’s to top up the meat for the month and to get some meat for dinner, total spend there was £40.15 and I made a saving of £2.94 on deals, which is going over to the savings account for SIL overpayment.
Have cancelled the emusic trial so that is £4 in my pocket via one of the cashback sites.
Have a good day everyone and I will update later if I get chance.0
