  • Afternoon one and all, hope no one is getting too wet and cold in all this wild weather?

I have spoken to the Doctors and they have given me a stronger pain killer and some more Diclofenac; so that should now have some effect…well it can’t be any worse can it???

    Anyhow on to today:

I have ordered the shopping and saved £5.98 as I saved on delivery and got some deals too, this has come off my total for the September Challenge and I also made £9.98 on Quidco this morning which has also gone off my total for September :T

Today has also been a NSD as I have no bought anything unnecessary, the prescrition was a necessary and so was the shopping so I don't include them.

Well done with the Quidco, you're doing brilliantly there.

I havent got a thing yet & just raring to go, keep finding I'm heading towards the wrong categories though, so many clothes shops :o

Hope the pain killers are kicking in a bit now, when does DS start school ?

  • Morning,

Sorry not updated for since Monday but I was in too much pain yesterday and not up to doing much. I spent most of yesterday dozing on the couch…poor kids just got plonked in front of the t.v all day.

Lula – DS starts primary school at the end of September, he will do part time until the end of December and then he goes full time. Hope that you are okay? The painkillers are slowly doing their job and I am not in as much pain but it still hurts like a wotsit to move.

Yesterday was a no go, I tried to take the kids to Playgroup but found that I couldn’t drive, so ended up not going anywhere so that ended up as a NSD.

Today is also a NSD as we aren’t going anywhere and I have made a grand total of 96p on Quidco today, so that can come off my total for September.

    Points update:
    My Pigsback 908
    DH Pigsback 765
    My Lightspeed 135
    DH Lightspeed 130
    My Valued Opinions £7.00
    DH Valued Opinions £6.25
    My Pureprofile £16.80
    DH Pureprofile £2.80
    My Juicy Brains £9.50
    DH Juicy Brains £2.25
Quidco Earning £30.94 - £20 earmarked to start the HSBC account off, so not included in the September Challenge.

The good news is that the loan is slowly going down, so that is good news and as long as I can keep going I know that it will be gone sooner than later.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi Tea,

thanks for popping over to my thread, sorry I wasnt there, too busy writing out lists of things to investigate price wise I expect ;)
glad to hear the painkillers are slowly kicking in & sympathy for not being able to get out & drive :( .

You are doing so well with all your surveys etc. quite puts me to shame, think I spend far too much time chatting on the forums & browsing on ebay :o.

Well done on the NSDs too,

    take care

  • Slept a bit awkward last night and as a result am in masses of pain today, I hate that I am unable to do anything…it takes me all my time to look after the kids.

Anyway, I did some ordering early this morning from HMV via Quidco and via Pigsback for DH for Christmas. Okay it is money that I have spent but it comes out of the Christmas fund so is already accounted for and the cashback is a bit of a bonus. I still have the kids to finish off and two other family presents to get and then that is it finite!!

As for today, we have a friend coming round with her two kids so today no more money will get spent.

I have done some Quidco clicks this morning too, but until HMV has tracked I am unable to find out how much I have now made.
  • Just checked Quidco and I have made £1, not much but still comes off my total for the September challenge and reduces my debt a bit more :)
  • It is nearly the weekend and one step closer to our holiday; we go away on Monday for four days and can’t wait :j

DH gets paid on Monday which is good :T as the debt will go down just that little bit more and Lloyds have upped to overdraft again! It is now up to £2750

Not much else to report, I have done some clicks on Quidco this morning and today will be a NSD as we aren’t going out anywhere.

The shopping is being delivered this afternoon.
  • Yesterday was a mile stone in DS’s life; he rode his bike without his stabilisers on :T . Both DH and I were choked to see it as he has been desperate to ride without them for months and had not been able to gain his balance enough. Very proud of him I am.

I have checked my Quidco account and it is now up to £32.12, so it is creeping up slowly and I will then be able to make that over payment to SIL. I am not going to put the £20 into the HSBC account; I am just going to put it all towards the debt.

DH also gets paid tomorrow and the DD goes out to the said SIL and I can now see the debt going down.

We are going on holiday tomorrow :D which is good as I believe the change in scenery instead of being house bound will be good for the soul, as the saying goes; SIL #2 remarked to DH that she can’t see how I can possibly go on holiday considering the pain that I am supposed to be in  and also that she doesn’t believe in surgery. Cheeky mare! No offers of help from her though or SIL #1…ah well, that’s family for you I guess.

Have a good week everyone and I will catch up when I am back.

    Hello Tea,

I'm probably a bit late but I just wanted to pop in & wish you a happy holiday. I'm sure a change of scene will be very refreshing for you & as you said - good for the soul which is what counts irrespective of what 'others' may think !

Look forward to hearing about your break when you return

  • Today is the day that we go on holiday. We are aiming to spend as little as possible but still enjoy ourselves; we need to nip to the Doctor's before we go to see if my repeat prescription is ready as I only have enough tablets to last me til Friday.

Anyway hope everyone has a good week and I will update and catch up when I return.
