Hello :hello: I’m back from my holiday and thought that I should update my diary so here it is.
The holiday was fantastic however I am reduced to walking with a stick now, I haven’t totalled up how much we have spent just yet but I estimate it to be in the region of £400, way too much so we need to do something to reap the cash back.
DH & I have been in discussion and it is agreed that if AQA have any vacancies, I will give them a go to try and earn a bit of money…it may just fizzle out in to nothing but I won’t know unless I try.
I have saved £5.14 on this weeks shopping as I got free delivery and some deals and my Quidco is now up to £32.46 and I am waiting for a few things to track so that should up my total a bit more and I have adjusted my total for the September Challenge and the debt total accordingly.
This week I plan to have as many NSD as possible and I go back to see the Consultant Tuesday evening to discuss when I can be booked in for the operation on my back.0 -
Welcome back
I'm so glad you had a lovely holiday but sad to hear you're even more incapacitated.
Dont feel so bad about the holiday spends, like you say I'm sure you can make it up one way or another & sometimes we just need a break from being tight all the time  .
Good luck with the Aqa ing & I really hope you can get in for the op soon,
take care & speak soon,

Happy New Week!
DH is working on a new site this week up in London, so poor DH had to leave earlier than previous. He has got a packed lunch so he doesn’t spend ridiculous amounts of money on food.
Plan for today is as follows:- [STRIKE]Order food shopping and look out for deals etc[/STRIKE] Done
- [STRIKE]Wash DS’s school uniform ready for next week[/STRIKE] Done
- [STRIKE]Clicks and surveys[/STRIKE] Done
- Park with the kids
- A bit of house work and make dinner
- NSD
Will update later once I am more awake, off to make breakfast for the kids now.
Have a good day.0 -
A bit more awake but not quite aliive just yet, think I need more tea to drink.
Any how, I have ordered the shopping for this week and have saved £6.26 as I got free delivery and saved on deals, so that has gone off the totals.
I have also done some clicks on Quidco this morning.
I also realised that once next months payment comes out, the debt will be under £10K...it is going down! :T I just need to keep it up and save when and where possible.0 -
Morning,
Yesterday ended up not being the NSD I had anticipated; the kids walked and I hobbled to the park and met up with a friend of ours, we had been there not less than 5 minutes and the heavens openedso we ended up going to the soft play centre round the corner, £10 later spent to get in and to buy drinks to keep the kids happy!
Good thing though is that DH finished work early and came to the soft play centre and picked us up and took us home
Any way on to today:- Play group
- Tesco’s
- Clicks and surveys
- House work
- Consultant
We have a friend who is coming round to watch the kids for us whilst DH and I go to see the consultant and to say thanks we are cooking her dinner, the majority of the ingredients are in the cupboard I just need to buy some salad and wine for dinner.
Hope everyone has a good day.0 -
Hi all,
Back from playgroup so thought I'd post an update as I will be too busy this afternoon to do it.
My Quidco is now up to £36.99, partly because I just bought some more Christmas presents on there and also due to the clicks too, so am going to update my signature accordingly.
Spent £10 in Tesco's I got some cheapo wine and a bag of salad and spent 50p at playgroup.
Tomorrow will be a NSD as we have no plans to go anywhere.
Forgot to mention DH gave me two £2 coins this morning and they have gone in the pot.0 -
Morning,
I have totally muddled up the figures and cannot fathom out what I have paid of what, therefore I am giving up with the Payment a Day Challenge and have incorporated it in to the September Challenge.
Totals are as follows:
DH’s Pigsback account: 775 points
My Pigsback account: 918 points
DH Valued Opinions: £7.25
My Valued Opinions: £7.00
DH Lightspeed: 5 points - £2 redeemed
My Lightspeed: 15 points - £2 redeemed
DH Pureprofile: £2.80
My Pureprofile: £16.80
Quidco: £37.05
DH’s Juicy Brains: £2.25
My Juicy Brains: £9.50
Not including surveys and points, my total for the month from actual money, so far is £79.29, in my Paypal Account not including the £2 just redeemed there is £12.43 thus making a grand total of £91.72 to come off the total for September and the overall debt.
I haven’t included DH’s earnings from Surveys and points as there isn’t enough earned to make it worth while. The £10 he redeemed from Lightspeed last month was used to pay for internet access whilst we were away, okay it was probably a waste but at least we didn’t exactly pay for it, if that makes sense??
The kids and I are going to count up the money in the demi-john and see how much is there and possibly get it in the bank at some stage.
Other news, I went to see the consultant last night and as my pain had increased like it has the surgery is going ahead and I am booked in on the 10th October.
As for today…definitely a NSD as we are going nowhere and apart from housework not much else will be done.
Sorry for the long ramble but I wanted to get it all sorted so I knew what was what.
Have a good day and I will update later.0 -
Hi Purpletea
I can't *believe* the pain you're in! That is *terrible*! When I've got chronic anything, it drags me down, but intense pain like that is awful, I really hope the doctors can get you into hospital soon for that surgery, thats absolutely awful to have to live with that.
On your previous post - thats the kind of exercise I did recently, what accounts do I have and how much is in each one of them - also, how much chance do I have of getting that account up to a point where I can withdraw something! Glad to see some of them are getting there. Have you tried yougov? You can't withdraw till its £50, then they send you a cheque, apparently, but they're very well known in the polling world, pretty safe. Pandapaws recommends onepoll too, tho I'm not a member of that one. Go with the quidco stuff - my brother just got into quidco too!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi Karmacat,
Thanks for the tip about yougov and onepoll, not tried either of those yet and will have a look shortly.

Have had a look and have signed up to Yougov and Onepoll.
I now have £1 in Yougov and £2.80 in Onepoll0
