It got to the point where we had three of them leaning over us talking to each other about how they can't understand how we can be so stupid as to not want to sign up with them. It really was emotional bullying, not persuading..... bullying!

When I raised my voice and started a bit of fist banging on the table the Background music in the room went up a few notches to drown out my voice so the other victims couldn't hear.

Even I considered just signing the damn thing but cancelling it afterwards just to get away!!

Eventually I got my way and we left on very bitter terms (I almost felt violated!!)

It did annoy me though to hear so many Champagne Corks being popped from so many other tables where people had signed up.


Apart from that we had a nice time, the Hotel and staff are nothing to do with it at all, once the day has been wasted with these vultures you can enjoy yourself.

I wouldn't recommend going though unless you are 100% commited to not joining no matter how they make it sound (and they do make it sound good).
Even if you are quite a strong character, don't underestimate the pressure they will put on you.

Not for the feint hearted at all.

had a similar experience ,they are polite to start with then turn nasty when you say its not for you ,your comments are spot on

I inherited 36,000 points from my parents, which original belonged to Sunterra, but right after transferred to Diamond Resorts. When my parents owned the time share they paid less than 2,000/yr. maintenance and could use all of their points to pay all of their maintenance each year if they wanted. Since I’ve owned the time share points and it’s transferred to Diamond resorts, My maintenance fees on those 36,000 points have jumped to 4,800/yr. now. I look on eBay now and see I can purchase a vacation at one of my resorts for cheaper then what I pay in maintenance. :mad:

I’ve lost all hope of trying to sell this thing, and now I’m even losing hope of giving it away. I see people giving away their timeshare with Diamond even with the current year paid up in full giving the new owners 1 free year of points.

AHHGGGHH, what can we do??? :eek:

The only thing you CAN do, just throw the paperwork in the bin, cancel any kind of direct debit or payment scheme and move on with life.

The points are completely worthless, as is your "membership", as you have seen, you can get the same for cheaper.

Just read on another forum it looks like DIAMOND RESORTS are selling as much as they can before they pull out as SUNSET HARBOUR is not available to the members for 2012 [7 resorts this year ].By next year it could be the end for DIAMOND RESORTS as there will be no resorts left to sell.Members not paying their fees is getting up to 1500 on the protestors group and i think there will be many more as word about all the resorts getting sold off and the recent daily mirror blog begin to hurt them.

Things must be getting a little bit hot under the collar at DRI HQ,thousands of ex members refusing to pay,DRI call in the bully boys/girls of daniels silverman debt agency demanding pay up or else not sure what the else is as they have to prove there is debt, and as i am disputing debt,they have now come up with a new offer 20% off the fees owed and i will be allowed to leave,but im quite enjoying the fight so i will continue to send out letters,i look forward to my day in court,but i dont think that will happen,as of yet not one person has had the pleasure,for all you people out there dont worry, look up.. daily mirror blog site.. diamond resort.and the best yet.. drips protesters group over 1300 non payers join now its free:rotfl:
