    Morning All

Another day with the plumber here! Just put a load in the WM to do a quick wash before he arrives and the water goes off for the day again. WE had a take-away for tea last night as it was only when I'd got the sausages and everything out ready to cook that I found out that the gas was still turned off!

Probably put the chicken in the SC this morning and then at least I know I've got something cooked for tea tonight.

Other than that not a lot happening. I did nip into Hanley yesterday as Woollies were seeling some bikes off and I got a 16" HSM bike for £40 so i was well impressed - just got to find a boy's 16" one now.

Good Luck for the interview Morwenna.

    Catch you all later

    Hugs

Forgot to say, my neighbour gave me a marrow yesterday, so did a search and found a recipe for marrow chutney. Spent about 2 hours making it, but it refused to thicken, so I now have some marrow chutney soup :rotfl:

Oh well, I've bottled it and will give it to unsuspecting friends - bet they don't ask for any more :D

    Morning all

Off to the vet's in a while - just for jabs and check up, but will try to get there early so we don't have too long to wait. Leo gets very stressed and moults........he could be naked by the time we get back.

Then off to mum's as sis and her family coming today.

Have a good trip N9eav, a good interview to morwenna, and a happy homecoming donny.

Hope your dgs is better aussielass - a few years ago my nephew burned his feet quite badly by walking on a shingle beach where someone had one of those container barbecues...it had left the stones very hot indeed and he needed bandaging for a while - made a full recovery though.

See you all later......hugs where needed.

    Good luck, Morwenna!

Donny-Gal - I welcomed you back last night but it was late in the evening by the time I got a chance to join the thread. Hope you had a good time?

N9EAV - have a great day. I also watched Pierrepoint and agree with you that it was excellent; TV at it's best! It did stay in my mind quite a lot though and stopped me going straight to sleep easily!

Well, DH has gone to work, the BM and the WM are on and the Remoska is being tasked with rice pudding, then bread baking and then the bolognese sauce for tea. When I make bread I make enough dough for two loaves but, of course, I can't bake them both at the same time in the Remoska and I am determined to make my main oven redundant. I can let one loaf rise in the 'Moska but, when I handle the second one, it goes flat and has to rise again; I found an old aluminium pie dish which I shaped into a loaf tin which fits inside the 'Moska which means that now both loaves can rise at the same time and I just bake them one after the other because I don't have to touch the dough. DH laughed at me cutting up the pie dish but had to admit to being impressed with how I solved the problem!

Anyway, I'm mioliering - I have a list of chores to do so I must get a wiggle on.

I'll catch up with you all later.

Aussie, give your DGS a hug.
    Whatatwit, belated Happy Birthday.
    Welcome back donny-gal.
Glad you had a great holiday BG.
Hubby & BIL have gone to work, so peace reigns in Hesters Home, not for long though as DD is popping round later with DGS & DGD.
Today I have to try & catch up after yesterday, I had planned a big blitz in the study, but couldn't get on with hubby underfoot, so I'll have another bash today.
I did manage to do some sewing & got some fabric corsages made, I'll try to post some pics on my blog later.
I hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning Everyone

Been around for a while, woke up around 4ish with DG snoring, and too warm:eek: . The standard double bed not ideal for summer, but it is all we have atm.

Thanks for the welcome back, thanks for asking WAT, the renovations are still in progress, ish, not quite as much done as I expected while I was away but suppose I was over optimistic:rolleyes: . Builder now off for two weeks, and built in wardrobes not due until nearly end of the fortnight, so they could not have been put in until they arrrived and will allow us time to decorate before he returns. We (well DH) need to emulsion all the bare plaster, and will prime any wood that is on. DH is hoping he has not filled the new radiator with water as it needs to be removed to deocrate:rolleyes: . The new ensuite is tiled and the units are in place, and connected though not quite finished. Two units ordered have come wrong, so that is another task.

First job is to try to get all the dust up and the whole bungy is a nightmare but we need to eliminate the source before I start trying to go through and make it look like home. I am no housework fanatic, but even I draw the line at being able to write in the dust! Also need to start on a fortnight's washing. All this and only 4 weeks before we head for warmer climbs again:T :j :rotfl: .

Take care all and (((hugs))) around. to all
