I have just been RIPPED off by Easyjet

Hi
Thanks to all those who think it is a rip off.
Just to explan to those who think it was ALL my fault.
I booked the tickets with the correct names, as known to me at the time.
One of the party has always used his middle name and it was this that I used to book the flight. I had NO reason to think this was not his first name.
As I said £20 to change it is fair enough but what I object to is re-buying the same flight again.
Imagine you bought and PAID for a washing machine and had to wait 2 months for it to be delivered. You then asked for it to be delivered to a different address. How would you feel if they then said it had gone up in price and wanted another £100 having already paid for it.
I STILL maintain it is a RIP OFF.  :mad:0 -
i've been watching this carefully, biting my tongue.
It isn't a rip off. You didn't check passenger names against the passports, so you are at fault.
You booked the tickets with the incorrect names, as you didn't know what was on the persons passport!!!!
Plain and Simple. It isn't up to easyjet to check names on passports to make sure things are booked correctly. It is up to YOU, as YOU are the customer.
Now, your analogy doesn't wash with me, a flight, and a FMCG is something totally different.
You agreed to the terms and conditions. If now you don't like them, well, maybe you should have double and triple checked things.
Personally, I rarely fly with a LCC, on the basis of they don't fly where I want. But i still double and triple check to make sure all the details are correct, as there are fees on standard carriers to change errors etc.
You are at fault, you didn't check a thing, and ASSUMED. you THOUGHT you were right..
and you know what thought did??? (Followed a muck cart.... etc)

I think people are missing the point.
Establishing whose fault it was is easy it was the OP`S.
The question then arises as to wether Sleazyjets charges to rectify the error are fair.
In my opinion they are not,so consequently they are rip off merchants.Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind. - Albert Einstein.
