The OP isn't changing his flight though, just amending a name on an existing ticket. Do you think this is worth the £140 he had to pay?
Yes, he is changing his flight, and therefore I see nothing wrong in paying a name change fee plus the difference in flight costs.Gone ... or have I?0 -
So how do you suggest that I travel from EMA to Spain, then to Morocco and back - all for less than £50? If you can do it, I will be happy to make a booking right now. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Just take the train (Eurostar under the channel, and ferry across the straits of Gibraltar). Ridiculous wasting time and effort passing through airports for a journey like this.0 -

Well that sort of request is generally directed to travel agents.

How long would that take me (from Nottingham), and how much would it cost (genuine question, I don't know)?
I can leave my house at 7.30am and be in Madrid for midday if I fly, for a cost of 1p (although my next trip is costing me £5).
Edit: I am staying in Madrid, I'm not going straight on to Marrakech.Gone ... or have I?0 -

But you suggested that we use alternatives - however you are unable to back up your statement with alternatives!
You will find that many Travel board regulars could/ would answer such a question, yet few are actually travel agents.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Nothing pedantic about stating FACT.
Easyjet and the other low cost airlines are businesses not charities. If you want to deal with a business, you accept their terms and conditions.
My family have had to change four return Ryanair flights to Ireland this week, it has cost approx £250 to do this (the new flights were at very short notice). They are not covered by insurance because the original flights were so cheap. Upon booking they knew that they would incur further cost if they had to change the flights, and therefore they have paid the difference without any silly fuss and moaning.
Nobody is forcing the OP to change their flight.
Lets not let actual facts get in the way of your - what i can only describe as ill thought out, immature, bitter agenda driven rant - The OP did not want to change his flights. He wanted to make a slight change to the name. Unfortunately being human he had made a minor error.
Your arguments are weak, pathetic and futile. The points you rasie are feeble at best.
I suggest you take yourself outside, give yourself a slap and then come right back down to earth and either come up with something credible to add to this debate (other than skewed facts based on your selective reading and understanding) or walk away from this topic tail between your very bitter legs.0 -
This is the one and only post from the OP,dated 23rd Aug and he`s never been back since despite 109 replies.
Maybe he`s enjoying the holiday that his post was about!0 -

Exactly, as I pointed out on the last page, perhaps he/she has since learned how to fill in some basic details on a website.
..or booked with BA/Emirates..in order to save a few bob. :rolleyes:0 -

I suggested nothing of the sort.
I said don`t use such scummy companies.
If the choice is to travel with Easyjet or not travel, then I choose to holiday at home.Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind. - Albert Einstein.
