Hi
I haven't been on for a while and I really want to get myself back into the swing of things.
I am currently 11wks pregnant and have just been so tired the last 2mths, my shopping bills have shot up from around £50.00pw to over £75.00pw, plus in the last week we have ordered THREE take-aways and eaten out at the pub once. basically we have spent a fortune!!
I am now far less tired so feel I want to get back into scratch & batch cooking. I'm ashamed to say but i have even bought jars of curry and bolognaise sause lately:o So today I made my first meal of spaghetti bolognaise from scratch and guess what, everyone commented on how much nicer it was than the ones we have been eating recently...the kids were literally licking their plates clean, I felt very proud of myself...
So sorry about the rambling i just feel a bit overwhelmed with where to start to get back into it, I know I have made a little step today so I just need some ideas and motivation to keep it going now...

Evening!
Firstly, does everyone know that WHSmith are stopping their current clubcard? It's being replaced by a new one! I think most places are still taking the old card and its points until early next year, but don't quote me on that. I found out in my local shop. So I've spent all my points and got the form for the new club.
Phew, now that's out of the way. I've done quite well in shopping these past few days. Saving lots of money. :T Just need to pay my PIN pot now.
Mum and I are looking into starting to make jewellery - have asked those lovely crafting people on the special occassions board for help there.
Dinner was a lovely bit of cod - sustainably caught - with chips.
Mum and I are heading to the farm shop tomorrow and the PYO to see what we can get for jams, as our fruit has decided not to grow this year.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -

Thanks for that.
I think I've got about 10p on my clubcard, so I'll spend it wisely.

Sybil,
hope that you didnt take it that I was getting at you about head covering etc in church...just find that kind of thing too ott for words...people should go to a church, whatever its denomination, because they want to and not be forced to abide by stupid rules.
Anniebooklover, would agree with you that there is nothing spiritual in this event and would feel that the parents are only laying up trouble for the unfortunate children in the future, also feel that Hester should wear what she wants to wear, not what is being dictated
Each to his own is my motto as far as religion is concerned....nobody else's business.

Hi Mel,
Welcome back and congratulations on your pregnancy! I've added your post to the daily thread where you'll get lots of help and support in your quest to get back to Old Style. Take it easy and try not to do too much at once.
