Hi - I just typed a post and it suddenly disappeared! Anyway, I've managed to get some time away from typing quotes for DH so I've uploaded some photos of the wedding onto Facebook - was surprised how easy it was. I struggle to upload them anywhere else!
I haven't had much time on here today so I hope everyone is having a good Friday and that you've all had the good weather that we have; it's been lovely if not typical August weather. I hope it lasts for the bank holiday weekend!
I'll try and catch up with the news later - I've really missed coming on here but I shall be so relieved when all the quotes have been typed up. I hate that job because you never know if it's going to be worth the effort.
Anyway, I'd better go and think about dinner - we're having a fry-up in the Remoska because I don't want to have to think too much about cooking at the moment!
Pippa - my DGD has curly hair - it's a nightmare to do but her Mum (who also has curly hair) seems to know how to deal with it! Both my two boys had curls when they were toddlers but DS1's is quite straight now and DS2's is never long enough to tell if it's still curly!
(((Hugs))) to Taplord
Pixie - sorry about DH's uncle
See you all later.

Yippee! Wine o'clock!
Chicken in the remoska is fab! Kids have just polished it off for tea, they weren't interested in my other suggestions lol! Oh well, nice and easy, but only a little bit left for my freezer - oh also had a couple of very large chicken sarnies!
Squiggly - don't know if all branches of Lush do parties, as the manager at our one said she didn't know how much to charge for the kids parties really, she just plucked a figure from the air! She said she just likes the shop being full, must be keen cos the parties are held after it's closed lol! My friend has just sent me a text to tell me she's booked her dd's party there as well, she'll be 8, so it'll be interesting to see the diff between small girls and big girls parties. I'm excited about doing a grown ups one!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
SQUIGGLY I will not do your gardening, sorry hun, cos I hate it;)
BLAIRWEECH why are you scared of AM's club, when i'm there to protect ya:rotfl: :rotfl:
Just been to Mr T's wiv DD to spend my £5 off NOTW token, and had a good natter on the way there and back with DD, she's still v sick and I know i'm over protective but it's such a shame

Morwenna maybe you could just be honest and say how you would turn the current situation around to meet targets & improve staff motivation? And no, threatening to not do your DD's ironing doesn't count as a method of improving motivation & productivity!
Thanks Floss2, I rang my Dsis and she said "stop overthinking it and just be yourself!" But can I just ask - what's an ironing??
:rotfl:I think I once heard it had something to do with the triangular metally thing with cobwebs on that is so handy as a bookend...
Spag Bol for tea today - yum! And Bank Holiday too woohoo!
Whatatwit my whole office are now fully updated with the existence of the brow bar at Debenhams - they will be packed out (it's a very trend/image -conscious type of place, where I work  ) perhaps you should get commission..:rotfl:0 -

CG - I am not scared of the club, just the prospect of changing my life . I mean, what if I make it worse?
DLB - Hiiiiiiiiii! I was just thinking about you and Crazychik last night - where have you *been* (where HAVEN'T you been, I hear you cry)?We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -

I have met the chaplain to the Queen in the North, so there! It was very briefly, but he seemed a lovely gentleman.
My nephew Hugh is a Queen's chaplain, and his church is in Tottington near Bury.I am off to visit him next month as my cousin from Australia is over visiting for the first time in her life She is 88  bless her ,a long way to go on her first flight.
I have had a great day i went to Bluewater with my DD and DGD and spent quite a bit .I treated myself to some new net curtains that were long overdue, and also a new kettle in John Lewis' I could really spend a lot of cash in that shop very easily .:D
We went to Tuttons Brasserie for lunch and had an awful meal .My DD complained to the manager, and he did accept that the service was awful, and the food not up to the mark and knocked 25% off the bill and gave us two 10% discount cards to use in future there I don't think I would bother, as it really wasn't as nice as I had hoped for, and was cross that we never went to the lovely Loch Fyne fish restaraunt next door instead.
I had a lovely meal there about 6 weeks ago and it was very reasnable as well
Still we live and learn I suppose, bought DGD some pens and stuff for school and managed to buy the new Jodie Picault book at half price in Waterstone's so the day didn't turn out too much of a disaster.came home and just totted up what I had spent in the three hours I was there , around £172:eek: Good job I don't go there very often.
Tomorrow I have my lovely sis-in-law down for a few days .She will help to put up my new nets for me, as chairs and my wonky joints aren't a good mixture.
Hope everyone has a great Bank Holiday week-end .The weather in Kent is supposed to brighten up a bit, so fingers crossed that I may get to sit in my garden with a large glass of G&T, ice 'n'slice.
have a good one folks and <<hugs to those who are feeling low or sad>>
Cheers, JackieO xx0 -

Am working all weekend so hope you all have a great time!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
HHester I read the couple of threads posted offering help about the christening on Sunday. TBH I'm surprised that the christening is being allowed to proceed as parents have to attend a 6-week course in our diocese if they want their child christened and have to be seen to be attending church too. Under the circumstances (which tbh stagger me with their frivolity - a Spice Girl, a numerologist - are they going for the spiritual equivalent of Angelina Jolie's let's have a child from every continent???) if I were you I would turn up in whatever I feel comfortable in and give the child some premium bonds as a present. There is absolutely nothing spiritual about this so don't let the parents pretend there is.
Hester, please understand that I am in no way getting at you or your beliefs. It winds me up when people want a church wedding or a christening or a first communion and never see the inside of church from one event to the other. They are looking for a "day out", nothing more.
And now that I have vented my spleen I will crawl off into my little corner. Goodnight all. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
