Morning peeps,
Congrats to all who did well in their exams, and(((HUGS))) to those who didn't.Our nephew rang last night and he's done really well so we're very proud of him.
DS1 requested a HM loaf which we were going to drop off when we pick him up tonight,as we are all going out to watch our friends son play in Manchester with his band. Now DS2 tells us he's picking him up in a taxi, and no way is he taking a loaf of bread with him
. Guess we'll have to eat it ourselves and I'll do another for DS1 tomorrow. It smells sooo good, and I've not had breakfast yet.
It's just started chucking it down again,I'm going to get very wet when I take the dog out in a mo.He had a very short one yesterday morning - I'd just washed and dried my hair as I was going out with my DB and DN so didn't want to get it wet - it goes frizzy in the rain.I did say sorry to him though. Not washed it yet today so I don't mind.
Betheebee, glad you enjoyed your trip to Aldi, you sound like you got loads - sorry forgot about the no Visa thing, its caught me out before now.
Hope everyone has a good day.Byee xxx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

Snowy - sorry to hear about your job
Beth - hugs for you and your DB
Hester - I did wonder about all those different religions - but that never crossed my mind as a reason :rotfl: :rotfl:

as rugby starts again tonight
Come on Sale Sharks! :j
Morwenna maybe you could just be honest and say how you would turn the current situation around to meet targets & improve staff motivation? And no, threatening to not do your DD's ironing doesn't count as a method of improving motivation & productivity!
Whatatwit So that was where you were yesterday......I haven't got there yet but I believe it's quite smart!
Mioliere Be careful - sounds like they will have bouncers, especially if there were any in Hello! magazine
:grouphug: to all who would like one,
Love Floss x0 -
Catz - sounds like a fantastic place to go for a meal
Celyn90 - my DS (21) has managed to destroy my Toshiba
. Mind you, he did have it away with him for uni so goodness what all was spilt on it etc
Tired mum - maybe some homeopathic remedies or other alternatives for your DD next year? Nux Vom is a good one for nausea. Well done for her science!!
Heavy rain here although the sky looks brighter now. I'm glad I did our bedding yesterday. Ironed it while we watched Rebus and it was soooo lovely to go off to bed in a freshly washed and outside-dried bed which had been ironed! You can tell that I'm easily pleased.
Sorry to hear of this bug affecting people's families. I feel better today, touch wood, but it has been a week of jippy tum and headaches and not feeling right.
Might make up a batch of ratatouille for the freezer today. Will have to freeze the courgettes if I don't.
have a good day everyone and (((hugs))) to those feeling under the weather

Morning,
Housework/flying beckons today. As soon as I get off this site...
Pink - can recommend Dell laptops. QVC often have them on offer/easy pay. At least you get to try it too and if you don't like it, return it!
Have fun today.
Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Morning all, I've been trying to get on here for ages, comp playing at Groundhog day,
Managed to weatherproof 8 chairs y/day only the table and 3 garden benches to do. Had to do them in the garage, didn't trust it not to rain.
I have deceided to take lots of advice from lovely peeps on here re-slowing down, and have deceided to get some quotes for painting the extereior of the houses we let out. As I am a painter/decor/designer I am loathed to pay some-one else to do the work, but DH has forbidden me to do it. Have app with 3 differant quotes today. Will wait and see what figure they come up with.
Will blitz the upstairs and vinegar inside windows, pictures, mirrors.
Spicy soup made, portioned and frozen.
Bought some smokebags from Aldi so will try them on some chick breasts for dinner.
I can fill the cupboards in the new utility room now it's finished apart from the tiling. Great storage for all kitchen appliances and cleaning stuff.
MUMMYSAVER, yes I have been to Killerton, took our 2 DD's when they were young. Great place to visit.
SQUIGGLY, I phoned DB2 lastnight and the Oncologist said the black patches are conected to the Melanoma, when DB2 is in contact with any sun (even though there has been very little) it's a reaction. Although he is always covered up, his face isn't. He will have checkups every 2 weeks now.
I will not give up hope.
CANDYGIRL, Pleased to hear you had a lovely time with DDad after his blood test. Love and Hugs to you and yours.
(((((((SMOKY, MRS. MIX, DIVA, PIXIE)))))))))))) and all in need. x0 -
I did around 25 minutes ironing last night but you can't see any difference.

Hardup Hester - if it is a strict Catholic church you will need to cover your head. Are the Beckhams still wearing rosaries? A rosary may get some good brownie points from the priest. That is, if your BIL is concerned about that. A fancy looking Bible is still a safe idea, I think, but if not Marks & Spencer I don't know if you know that the Bibles for Catholics and Protestants are different and it may cause a fuss if the priest will be blessing anything (some priests can seem to control themselves when they get near holy water!) It doesn't sound like the parents of the child know how much a bible should cost and you can get some really ornate ones quite reasonably.
I have met the chaplain to the Queen in the North, so there! It was very briefly, but he seemed a lovely gentleman.
The plants will be fine in the garden until the weekend - its ironing, ironing and more ironing. I also have finally worked out the fiction I am writing for dear heart's birthday, so I shall also have to slave over a hot keyboard.
Little bear had a lot of grumbling in his sleep last night. I am still considering teething but if it continues I shall have to consider taking him to the doctors. I think I have already been labelled as 'over anxious mother' so I don't think I will make it worse.
Evil cat is sulking. She was in the garden last night and a little kitten from next door came up to play - and evil cat just fled. It really cheered me up and made up for the disappointing ironing.
Hugs to all.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0
