ASDA Mobile PAYG 8p/min and 4p/text

I've been trying to order an ASDA SIM card from their website for over a week now without any success. Even though it is shown as being in stock, when I try to add it to the basket it says it is out of stock and to leave an e-mail address so I can be notified when it becomes available!

Is it just me, or has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks, I'm glad it's not just me! Short of going into a store, does anyone have any ideas on how to order one?

lol... looks like they have been overhelmed with the success of their new tariff and all the sims have gone out of stock.

Try your local Asda store they may have some stock.

Would I be correct in thinking that Asda doesn't offer any online facilities?

(i.e. you can't top-up online, check your balance, recent calls etc....)

An update on Asda mobile price plan. Now the call costs are half of what they originally were

This sounds ideal for me, I am with Vodafone at the moment.
As they use the Vodafone network can I use an Asda sim card in my Vodafone locked phone?? Or am I going to have to get it unlocked or get a new phone?

The SIM cards are now available to order off the ASDA website - I've just got mine at long last!

Thanks. They had none in store yesterday, so I've just ordered some online. I was quite surprised to find that Asda's checkout page displays incorrectly in IE7 and I had to use FF.
