I signed up to Setanta via TopUpTV's free 9 month offer to Setanta. Who do I cancel with, Setanta or TopUpTV? I've already cancelled TopUpTV.

i also emailed them to cancel, but it has bounced back.

i am tempted to just cancel my DD. if they want their money they need to contact me, since i dont seem to be able to contact them.

the timing is important, since my next payment is due on 22nd, so if they dont get this email in time, they will charge me again in july (although they wont be around by then).

i sent a dummy email to setanta at requests@setanta.com half an hour ago and had no failure indication.

equests@setanta/cancel.com SEVERAL PHONE CALLS LATER AND THEY GAVE ME THIS ADDRESS AFTER TELLING ME I COULD NOT CANCEL ONLINE........ WILL NOT GO BACK, IF HAD HAVE BEEN EASIER TO CANCEL , MIGHT HAVE DONE .......

Do not use the address above. It is not correctly formatted and will just bounce back to you as undelivered. The correct address is requests@setanta.com

I attempted to cancel Setanta in October of last year and received email confirmation that this would happen. Foolishly I dont check my account much and realised that up until last month they had still been taking 12.99 from my account!

I emailed again and received an email stating that this was an error on their part and that it has now been cancelled, i shall also have a refund within 28 days.

Surprise surprise i have no refund and today another £12.99 has been taken! I really am at a loss with what to do as the bank can't help and Setanta are obviously incompetent. Any ideas on how i should pursue this are welcome!

Even though the legal side will cost a few quid i think i will still take that route.

Cheers

Forgot to add that i still have all emails relating to this.

if youve got all the emails showing your subscription is cancelled by setanta then show them to your bank and insist they they get your money back . dont take no for a answer.
other s have got thei banks to do this.

Go to setanta remove last forward slash and uk and type in cancel, fill in form for freeview or the platform you need and click send, this will give you a written proof of your cancellation request print this so at least you have some proof of contact, make sure you fill in all that is needed Kev
Now got email from setanta today confirming cancellation 30days after next billing, will keep my eye on bank account on line, dont cancel DD as it could cause a problem till the 30 days are up but if you see a payment that is incorrect out on DD in the morning if you cancel DD right away it comes back to you as the money actually only goes the day after, hope this is of some help, still send e mail to requests@setanta.com with full details to be sure
