Looks like the end is near for Setanta ! Rumour is they have defaulted on latest instalment of 3million to Scottish Premier League. When asked about this Setanta replied ' No comment' So don't forget when Setanta or Debt Agencies come chasing just say 'No comment'
Bet they don't default on their payments to the ENGLISH Premier league though....:rolleyes:0 -

after reading todays papers it seems setanta are going bust. they cant raise the monies to pay off their debte.
we now know why they made it so hard to cancel , so taking every penny they could out of peoples accounts
to scrape in as much as possible to try and save their
sinking ship.
they still dont understand that this policy has back fired
on them as the word has got around how they treat
their customers.
people why only wanted to cancel tempory for close seasons and other reasons have not come back and never will.
and they had no chance of reaching their 1.9 million subscribers to brake even.
i am sorry for any job loses, more so for the staff at sunderland as they at least try to sort things out.
but the bunch of crooks in newry can see their bank accounts shrinking as they have caused many other
clients accounts shrink with their lies and deviouse method to rake the cash.
if they cant find a rescue plan and go under then all i can say is " there must be a god "
i have sympathy with those who have a annual contract who have no chance of getting a refund should setanta fail to sevive and those that setanta owe money
to.
but one thought they may hold onto is when these crooks apply for a new employment and put on their cv they had worked for setanta they get their !!!!!! kicked out of the door whoopie !0 -
so if they are going bust do i still need to stop my monthly payments?0
-
I've just e-mailed to the address on the first page so fingers crossed it all goes trough ok but as the previous poster has said, what happens if they do go bust. Will the DD automatically be cancelled?0
-
Looks like Setanta are going down the tube, so all subscriptions will soon cease. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
-
Will they actually go bust or do people think someone will step in and save them? The only reason I ask is because I was thinking about signing up, but if they are going out of businesses!??!?!
What will happen to all the football that they have plans to broadcast next season, would the rights be sold to someone else? I really hope Sky don't get it because I don't want to sign up to them.0 -
Looks like it gonna be Taa Taa Setanta!
There is not going to be another backer jumping in to pay off the debts. Setanta are losing too much money and don't have enough subscribers to make it a viable business.
Hopefully Terrestrial will jump in to pick up the rights for the remaining matches, I'd hate it to become a bidding war between Sky and Terrestrial. If that happens SKY will win and have all the football for the next 2 to 3 seasons!Laters
